I know this is all over this forum, but I need your opinion. So traveling down the highway around 60+MPH and the truck shakes, not a lot, but annoying as hell. It has been doing this for about a month now. I climbed under the truck this evening to check things out, everything looks normal, drive shaft does move in the carrier bearing a little as I would expect, I wouldn't think it to be rock solid, checked outer tie rods and this is what I found, the drivers tie rod (greasable) is ok, the passengers tie rod (Greaseable) is torn and no grease to be found other than seeping out of the boot. My question: could this be the reason my truck is shaking?

Check your u-joints and make sure there isn't any play. The same thing happened to me about a month ago. I replaced my front u-joint on the rear shaft and that fixed the problem. I wish I would've replaced all at once, but that will be a later project.

What size lift front and rear?

    Probable driveline vibration for sure.

When were the tires last balanced?

Is it shaking front (steering wheel) or rear (in your seat)?

Have you rotated tires front to rear to see if it moves?

Don't rebuild your suspension until the simple stuff is checked out. Well, you need to fix the CV boot thing quick.

Funny you ask this...The shaking is in the seat and the wheel, and the shake started right after they rotated the tires...the next day I went back and had the put the tires back where they were. I only drove 5 miles on them. Although, I marked the tires before bringing the truck back and then checked when the bought the truck back out to me and they didn't rotate the tires. I called them on it and they swore they did, but they didn't.

Edit: tires were last balanced 1 year ago

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Did they do a cross rotation? That can cause this kind of shit, too.

I don't know, they couldn't tell me???really, I asked the same question. I actually told them DO NOT ROTATE TIRES, and they did it anyway. I didn't notice until I was down the highway on my way home, I took it back the next day to have them put the tires back, it was a frigin nightmare.

Why not DIY? If you have a jack and a good pipe it's easy to do yourself. Front to rear, rear to front, no cross. I'd put them back.

Oh I know...I always rotate my tires myself, but for some reason the dealer did it when they changed my oil, and again I told them not to. I normally do everything on my truck myself. The only reason I had the oil change at the dealer was because it was January and it was frigin cold here in New England. I would put them back, but I don't know how they did the rotation, front to back? or cross?

I have a shake as well from 50-60 mph. Totally smooth outside of that range. What's weird is I used to have wheel spacers and it made the shake go away????? But since I got my new wheels I got rid of the spacers and the shake is back :annoyed:
    And ideas?

Hopefully they moved the front tires straight back, and the rear crisscross to the front.

A dealer I would trust to do front to back... Start there. If the shaking doesn't go away you may need to swap side to side... A few hours of fiddling one day to unfuck the dealer's mistake, sure, but then you could know? Clearly you can't trust them.

The manual says front to rear. I follow the manual.

What about when you do a 5 tire rotation?
