    Hello All,

I recently put a 2" lift - new front shocks, springs, rear shocks, leaf springs, and kept stock UCAs. I'm loving the lift, but the truck has been pulling to the right since installation even after an alignment. There was a little improvement after the alignment but still pulls to the right after about a couple hundred feet of driving on an uncrowned road. After speaking with the alignment tech, he said there's no reason why my truck should pull to the right with how it is currently aligned. I checked all the bolts and re-torqued everything, all the installed components seem to be ok. Does anyone know white might be causing this pull?

Truck specs are: Long Bed with 265/70/r17 tires and a 2" nitro Ironman lift.

    Here is my alignment:

Cross caster is incorrect. Needs to be .2-.5 higher on the pass side.

Also, your rear axle is not straight. Take the ubolts off, straighten up the axle by taking measurements from different points on the frame and axle, then TORQUE the ubolts to the correct spec.

Your caster is low. Basically the tech was lazy and just set the toe. Your tires won't wear, but I'm sure it wanders like drunk whore. Take it back and tell the lazy bastard to do his job.

I see, I will bring it in again to get adjusted. Would the pulling to the right be caused by the caster being incorrect or the axle not being straight? Combination of both?

Don't waste your time worrying about thrust angle. It is really not worth the time. Caster is what causes the pull. The lower the caster the lighter the steering becomes. Think of it like a wheel barrow. the more weight you put in the front, the lighter it feels, but steering correction is constant. You put that weight further back and it is easier to go straight, but it gets heavy. More caster moves the weight back and helps tracking.

his rear end is off by 1/8”. Certainly enough to cause a pull. I bet his truck is crab walking going down the highway.

just went with almost the same 2 inch lift like you.
this is the best they can do for caster 1.7 on the left and 1.6 on the right.it maxed out the cam bolts.

the car was all over the road(wandering). I ended up installing JBA UCA's and this is now

Way better if you ask me. anything over 3 gives you that solid feeling on the highway:)))

AND YES if not installing UCA make sure CASTER if even or more on the RIGHT

THIS is my REAR and its opposite of yours. yes with perfect front you would have your rear going LEFT and the FRONT trying to catch up by going LEFT too.

On mine I have small pull to the RIGHT in the rear so my truck always tries to go to the RIGTH. I'll straight the rear tomorrow :))

his pull to the right is from the front caster

his rear is pointing to the LEFT and with straight front would be pulling to the LEFT(I THING)

The thrust angle being off won't cause a pull. It causes the dog tracking condition that you see with big trucks sometimes. It looks like they are cocked to the side, but going straight. It is nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the input all. I set up another appointment for Monday and will hopefully get the caster set correctly.

What GoGoStAm stated is exactly correct. You will only be able to go so far with what you have. Your other option to get a little more caster is to lift the rear. Not near what you would get with new control arms, but a few tenths of a degree anyway.

Caster was adjusted to 1.6 (as much as he could get it). It drives a lot straighter now but I definitely will be getting UCAs

You might find it cheaper to lift the rear an inch. That would probably get you close to 2 degrees.
