Truck feels like it's sliding on a slick road even in dry conditions

Recently when driving at highway speeds my truck feels like it is struggling to maintain traction as if the road is wet or icy, but it happens when the road is completely dry. Especially when turning at those speeds it has the sensation that my rear is going to slide out and I'll go into a fishtail, but it doesn't.

At lower speeds it has actually started to fishtail especially if roads are wet, which is new in the years I've been driving it so it's not that I'm too heavy footed or suddenly need weight on the rear axle.

It's a stock 2015 sport with fairly new BF Goodrich trail terrain tires, and I just had an alignment and the tires balanced but the shop didn't see anything else.

Any ideas of where to look or what could be causing this would be appreciated because it's driving me crazy and makes driving the truck feel unsafe.

Was any other suspension work done recently?

Also what are your tire pressures at?

Stock shocks are bad. Probably not in alignment.

How many miles on it? Check your tire pressure. Improper inflation can cause this as can worn suspension. Is the front sway bar still in? I know a lot of people remove these thinking they’re offroady.

Curious about tire SIZE AND PRESSURE. If you deviate from the stock size, the air PSI changes.

If you switched from P rated tires to LT you have to increase the air pressure in your tires or it will ride like it is going to spin out. I am running LT265/75 R16 and I had to increase the air pressure to 38 to 42 psi.

When my Tacoma was new it felt like the front end was in the air all the time. That feeling went away when I had decent tires installed. Michelin's.

It’s your tires. Assuming you’re a new driver?

Other than what was already mentioned, bad swaybar links might cause similar issues.

Put 100 pounds in the truck bed. Balanced over the axle is preferred.

Front sway has nothing to do with rear end.

    also, throw it out.

If he's drifting around like I imagine, it can be difficult to tell if it's coming from front/rear.
