So at my wits end with trying to get my 2011 DCSB to track somewhat straight down the road. Truck constantly pulls to the left and after removing all 4 of the Cam bolts in lower control arms and putting anti-seize on all four cam bolts, putting in new control arm bushings, new lower ball joints, and put on four new 285/65/R18 Nitto Trail Grapplers with balance and alignment yesterday the truck still pulls to the left quite hard. Anyone having a similar issue or any other ideas on what could still be causing this issue?

    Specs from my alignment yesterday:

i was going to say swap the front tires, but you have that covered.

whats the left front rotor look like? is it getting hotter than the other side?
caliper hanging up? brake hose collapsed?

Assuming new tires are good. That can be a mistake. Also assuming shop knows what they are doing. That too can be a mistake.

Check all tire pressures. Elevate front end. Spin both front tires. Both turn smoothly? More resistance felt in one vs. the other? If so - brake issue.

Tire Pressure checks out 35psi on both front tires and 32psi on both rear tires. Wheels spin freely when the front is jacked up, not hearing the brakes drag on rotor when spinning both wheels. Took truck to 4WheelDrive parts for tire install, balance and installation so would hope they know more about alignment that your typical box tire and lube joint. Truck has never been in an accident or offroad to the point where any of those components would or could have gotten bent.

    Ask for a re-align.

Maybe someone bumped one of their sensors during an alignment. Its happened to me plenty of times doing alignments

Some of these trucks seem to have something wrong with them, from steering to the left to steering wheel shake. Mine has both problems.

At 47k miles I will be taking mine to the dealership this weekend to look at both problems, though I don't expect them to find anything wrong. I'm doing it just to get it on record. I've replaced tires, have had balances done, and alignments - still the problem exists.

I love my Tacoma for many reason, but this is the first vehicle I've ever had, new or used, where I've had these issues.

have you tried just swappin the front tires from side to side? even though tires are new, they can have what you call a radial pull.. Do little things to weed it all out.. Id at least try it and see if it doesn't pull the other way

Take a look at the rear suspension setup, you have some positive thrust angle, which I think drives it to the left? Axle could be rotated from the lift maybe

check your control arm bushings, i had a similar issue when my driver side bushing was starting to give, would pop out of alignment here and there.... check by jacking up the front and shake the control arms for give.

Its a long shot but I had a minivan that pulled to the left, chased the problem forever and found out it was a bad rear wheal bearing causing drag. Why that bearing didn't burn up is beyond me.

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated. Going to go back in for another alignment next week and see if they can find or fix the issue. Keeping my fingers crossed that it was just mis-aligned but since this issue was going on before the new tires I'm not holding my breath. Going to ask them to get me as close to 0* Camber, 0* Toe and 2.5* Caster as possible. If issue persists guess I'm back to the drawing board and will try flipping the tires around and then possibly thrust angle or rear bearing.

I'm have the same problem on my stock 2008 Prerunner 4.0

    Services Performed –

    · Upper Control Arm Replaced – Drivers Side

    · Front Wheel Bearing Replaced – Passenger Side

    · Front Wheel Bearing Replaced – Driver Side in October 2015

    · Two Aligments – Sears (I requested a refund)

    · Alignment Check – Sullivan Tire / tweeked

    · Brakes Checked

    · Tires Cross Rotated

    · Tire Pressure Checked ok

    Still pulling to the left.

I'm thinking of going to the dealership but not enamored with that.

:( damn...that is a lot of work done.
When did the problem start for you? Was it after a tire switch/lift/install of equipment?

Did you ever find out why your Tacoma pulls left? I have the same year and mine also wants to pull left. Depending on the road it is harder or softer?
