This is a two part question guys. First one is about my compass in my instrument cluster.

I took my truck in today to get the transmission update and when I went to pick it up they said it had already been done. I guess the dealer had it done before I bought it.

Anyhow they said they reset my driving habits (I don't know?) and checked my transmission fluid. He said it was hard to tell but thought it might be down about half a liter, so he attempted to top it off.

So on my way home I noticed my compass had changed. Before it was just a normal looking compass with a needle in the middle, and now it had a little Tacoma truck in place of the needle?IMG_20170605_211603.jpg

Any ideas if this is part of some update? Or hopefully not, but maybe party of a previous software?

Second question is about the eco app. I'm trying to understand it, but I can't figure out why it doesn't display my "best MPG"?

I took a trip this evening and it averages 21mpg. I shut it off and came back later and took another trip which only averaged 17mpg. So shouldn't it display bc 21mpg as my best?

    Anyone have any advice?

I think somewhere within the head unit settings you can pick your compass appearance?

Eco is simply the average from last time you reset it. Use the update button in your pic to reset it. Then it will log the yellow as green, and start over. It has zero reference to the two mpg displays on the dash.
Can't help with the compass logo, mine has always displayed the truck.

I saw no option to change it, but I messed around in all my settings and somehow I changed it back to the standard compass? Still trying to figure out how.

I've changed a few things in screen without knowing what I had done to change if. There's sure a lot of options. I wish it would show the time next to the temp. My other car had it on that center display (not Toyota) and I just used to it being there.

I figured it out. It changes when you change a setting on your GPS. Top left corner switched between 2d and 3d view, and this also changes the compass!
