the Triangle light in the speedo side came on. book says either engine temp, trans temp, or oil pressure. the maint light did not come on. engine temp normal, checked oil, is OK. i was 30 miles from home no issues driving home. opened hood once home nothing unusual as far as heat. felt trans cooler line hardly warm. found you tube video how to re set it guess i will do that. any chatter on the sensor that triggers that?

Go to the warning page on the cluster. It might be something simple. Otherwise you will need an OBD II reader to find out what happened.

    Triangle safety light .....

    Caution*
*If a safety system warning light does not come on

Should a safety system light such as the ABS and SRS airbag warning lights not come on when you start the hybrid system, this could mean that these systems are not available to help protect you in an accident, which could result in death or serious injury. Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer immediately if this occurs.

Dashboard icons are displayed in a variety of colors, depending on the system and its status in a specific vehicle. Yellow icons indicate an item of importance (such as low fuel), but are not necessarily a warning. Red icons indicate a condition that requires immediate attention, such as an open door or low engine oil pressure. See your vehicle's Owner's Manual for more details.

As many as I can fabricate
Oil pressure and oil level are two different things. You need to have this checked. Also, get a code reader, cheap one. It will read CEL or check engine lights, which you can look up on the internet, or the reader will just tell you whats up. Be prepared. You're on a island. I lived on a island for eight years.....be prepared.

Yep a code reader is priceless. I have a $15 reader. Not super informative but can pull obdii codes that can be researched on the computer.

Definitely a code reader if it's not a message in your center screen. Worst comes to worst, as long as it's amber and not red, you don't have to press the panic button, but definitely check it out
