I'm wanting to get a tonneau cover for my 2021 Tacoma SR5 6' bed. I know there are a ton of them out there and want to spend around $600 to $800. Is there a good one that is lockable and easy to remove and put on?

Bed mat (OEM) ~$108, Bed Cover BakFlip MX4 Trifold $970, Led Interior Lights $16, bug and rock shield $46, glove box and console organizer $20, tailgate keyless lock $149, OEM tail gate extender $300, TACOMA raised letter in tailgate $30, All Weather floor mats and door sill protectors, rubber inserts for all interior cubbies $20, front window tinting to match the back $90, pet protector cover for back seat $55, black 4” tube step rails.
I had the Extang Trifecta 2.0 on my last truck for 3.5 years. Loved how easy it was to remove and install with no tools. Light enough for one person removal. This time I ordered the BakFlip MX4. Don’t have it yet to give an opinion. The Extang Trifecta 2.0 can probably be found in the upper end of your price range. It didn’t discolor or have any issues during the time that I had it. Would recommend.

Thanks for the info on the Trifecta cover. I did a quick search for that one and it appears that is a soft cover. Was the one you owned a hard cover one?

It was a hard trifold cover.
Extang Solid Fold 2.0 Hard Folding Truck Bed Tonneau Cover. Here is a pick of what I had and what I’m trying. The main difference is the MX4 is flush with the top of the bed rails.

I really like my Fold-A-Cover. It’s 4 panels, you can open the front (cab side) panel independently, it has keyed locks front and rear, and uses a striker system like a car door. I think it is more secure than others. I like being able to open the back without having to drop the tailgate if I want something out of the cooler, or if I need a tool or recovery strap from the front.
It also came with a nice tailgate seal

I’m very happy with my Rugged Premium hard fold tonneau. It’s $799, but I paid about $720ish total after a discount code (I got it from autoaccessoriesgarage.com) about 3 months ago. It sits on top (unlike some others that sit flush with the bed sides, so you get that little bit more vertical space), but it’s still pretty low profile and looks very nice IMO. It uses the factory bed rails so it’s easy to install and remove. The non-premium version (E-series) is about $699 at most places before any codes, and is pretty much the same cover as the premium, just without built-in LED lights and extra safety tethers. And if you like the E-series and want to save even more $$, then get the Rough Country hard tri-fold - it’s $599 and is the same cover as the E, just re-branded. All 3 of these lock by the tailgate being locked (must have tailgate open to open the cover). I have a short bed, but I don’t think the prices are much different for the 6’ bed. Here’s a pic of my Rugged premium...

I have the Bakflip MX4 on my LB. I have the OEM tailgate lock so when I lock the truck the cover is secured. I paid $750 for mine new on a early Black Friday sale. The fit is great and my bed is dry.

Thanks for the information about this one. It looks like a really nice and solid unit and the video on their website is very helpful. It's definitely high on my list.

I really like the premium version but it's not available for my 2021 Tacoma configuration. Will look at the E-series one.

You can quickly take it off if you need the full bed. The cover will fit in the back seat. It is durable, but light. Best of all.... Its in your price range and they will ship it out very fast. There is a dealer on here that will hook you up. (1) Lomax Bed Cover | Tacoma World Just note. that I did not pay that much for this cover last year. Worth checking on. IMO @GotExhaust

Yes!! The only trick is making sure it sits square on the truck. If you can read a tape measure, then your good. It probably would still work out of square. But, my OCD Will Not allow that to happen.

I agree. Have the Lomax and like it. Functions well, comes on and off in under a minute and easily looks the best in my opinion.

Don't remember exactly what I paid but it was under 700. Hit up the above vendor for a better price.

I have an OEM tri-fold tonneau cover in fine working order that I do not use anymore. PM me with an offer for it and it's yours. Where are you located?

I have this one too. It takes about 5 minutes to install and has never leaked once to my surprise. Get compliments on it to. It looks plastic but it’s kind of like an aluminum esq panels better than expected. Very clean look and right in your price range. Easy to maneuver for one person.
