I've been looking at replacing my stock OEM shift knob with the TRD version since it looks so easy even I can do it. Thought it would be nice to have something a bit more substantial, but not sure about the red stitching and side accents since my interior is black/cement with white stitching, and the stupid thing costs $96 by the time I have it shipped. For those of you who have purchased one, is it worth it? Thanks :)

D7147CD1-9700-4C7D-9540-4B1523AB47A7.jpg I prefer my Teton workshop knob. I think it’s far more unique and feels incredibly substantial and well made. Not that much more than the trd variant.

i love the knob but i hate how the boot collar does not stay attached to the knob. it falls down way too easily with the 3D printed attachment point on the knob. i find it so annoying that i am considering switching back to stock.

I didn't like the shape of it, so I eventually replaced it with the older ball style TRD knob with a collar for the boot I bought off of Etsy. That's assuming you're talking about the manual transmission. If automatic, that probably doesn't apply.

NON-AT but added to my MT and hate it. Going to replace factory, too bulky for an MT.

You can buy non OEM ones for a fraction of the price.

I've had my OEM one almost 5 years, I like it

Agreed. Probably my most used button. Except for the start button.

Padding on a shifter knob doesn't make sense to me, at least not on a manual shifter. I like the round ball type.

I like mine a lot, but I did get it on sale, so that helps. Still, I would probably do it again if I had to.

Not to derail OP's thread, but I agree. I drove for a while with the TRD pro manual shift knob, but it really is designed to be gripped one way. I went to a ball type one as I like to grip my knob in a variety of ways.
