Someone local to me is selling this setup used and I really want this on my 2004 TRD offroad, it's bone stock with no lift and my current tire size is P265/70R16 and the KO's being sold on the TRD pro wheels are LT265/70R17. Will these even fit my truck? Would I need a lift before even thinking of putting these on? The wheels/tires he's selling are off a 4runner.

The newer wheels have less backspacing than the best gen wheels, but there are several people who run the 3rd gen wheels.

And holy crap that's a lot of armorall on those tires.

Yes they will work. They are going to rub though without lift. Normal driving you will be ok.

thanks guys, I just don't want to buy them and it be un-drivable. It'd be some time before I can afford a lift. But winter is coming and my Firestone A/T's are balding in the rear and this wheel/tire combo popped up used near me so I may pull the trigger on it and get a lift later

It's just the distance between the back side of the wheel and the mounting surface.

They look nice. How much did you pay and what are the tire specs?

The size is 265/70R17 and they are Nitto Terra grappler G2's. I paid $675 for them. The previous owner only had them on his 4runner for around 300 miles so basically I paid retail for the tires and got the wheels for free. He did take the TPMS sensors out of them so I had to take them to a tire shop to have the beads seated and then balanced.
Now I just need to find a decent deal on another wheel and tire so I can have a full size spare.

    Stuff, things, this, an ADS
Tire shine shouldn’t be used on Matte color wheels.

Backspacing is 4.59” compared to stock 4.15” so there’s less than a 1/4 difference in where they sit, these sit in less than 1/4” more than stock.

I’m running these with a 285/70 R17 tire. I rub the frame when turning hard left or right. A smaller tire might not.
