I'm in the market for a new Tacoma - just sold my 2013 Limited to a family member in need.

TRD Pro vs. TRD Sport? I won't be doing a lot of off road, so am wondering if the price for TRD Pro is worth it.

This is my first post to the forum. Thanks for any guidance.

Welcome! I think your answer will lie on what you really like, prefer, how much you plan on upgrading it, and how much your willing to spend.

You can't go wrong with either. Mostly comes down to your budget.

If you have the money, TRD Pro has better rebuildable suspension that is still nice on pavement.

If the price of TRD Pro is a stretch, go with Sport.

Depends what you want. You can build up a sport to what you want for same price or probably cheaper then the pro. Yes I have a pro, but i bought it because of the price (family friend passed) and redone the suspension. I was originally looking at sports or OR

Sport will do a lot! If I were choosing between the two, I would go with the off-road over the pro..in my opinion..you could just get an sr5 and upgrade to make a better machine..I had a sport and upgraded to an off-road for the crawl and lockers.i didn’t like the scoop on trails, but it looked good! Everyone has their opinion so get what you want! Some pics of my sport doing stuff..

Howdy, its all based on personal preference and budget, I had the 2017 pro but decided to dump it, not wOrth the price, looKs great though, downgraded to the TRD OR 4X4. Both great trucks. Good luck.

Thanks for the insight. Out of curiosity, why does the Pro have 16" tires whereas the Sport has 17" tires? How big of a difference in the ride does it make?
