After seeing the pricing on the PRO I'm moving forward on a Raptor. It seems like a deal compared to the Toyota.

It’s definitely a deal compared to the pro. I’m having a hard time getting the mpg stated on the window sticker. Very fun to drive.

I wish I could have both though… just to provide the community a true side by side comparison.:)

The ARE Bison and the Ranger Raptor are the real fourth generation Tacoma. Toyota decided to shrink down the hybrid Tundra and go in a completely different direction. Any idea when/if the leaf spring Xtra cabs are showing up?

King 2.5’s with adjusters from accutune front and rear, 88 rotors rear add a leaf, Camburg X-joint UCA’s, Factory style trd pro 16” wheels with 0 offset, 285/75/16 KO2’s, pro grille, Front bumper viper cut, trd front skid plate, full RCI under skid plates, Cali raised trail sliders, exhaust cut dump, KDMax 10.0 tune
I’d definitely get the ranger raptor of the trd pro. Way more power in the raptor and it’s actually less complicated than the trd pro

hmm, Tacoma Pro and Ranger Raptor are within $500 of each other in Canada. Odd that USA gets such a "cheap" RR.

Probably because it’s a larger market in the US. I’ve noticed in Canada they typically bundle all the optional features to cut down on trims.

I’ve been waiting since 2020 to get the new TRD Pro. After I did the comparison on paper between the RR and Pro, and looked at what my needs were, it was a no-brainer. I’d still like both in my garage though.

Test drove a new TRDOR. The 4cyl sounds horrible.

A little. Looked at them. I like them and they are priced right. More of a Ford guy than a Chevy guy and have always wanted a Raptor. Just couldn't afford the big one. Twin turbo V6 easily tunable to 450hp has me sold. The seats are super comfortable. The interior looks well designed compared to the mish-mash sea of plastic in the new Tacoma.

Yeah, I feel you on the Raptor. I'll certainly be cross shopping those when the time comes. The ZR2 is probably more suited to the trails I do, but it's not like I'm going THAT hard. Either would be more than enough for what I do. I was really surprised to find that I would even consider something other than a Tacoma, but here we are.

    Neither.

F150 Raptor or TRX. I prefer the TRX.
