So apparently that little spacer is a TRD Pro exclusive part and needs a special approval for Toyota to release it. I'll get it eventually trough my dealer friend prolly by the next week, but I wanted to install my shocks tomorrow and was wondering if I can substitute it with something else or skip it all together? What size bolt comes with the spacer? How big is the spacer? Maybe I can use bunch of washers instead? I borrowed this picture from BadCow to show you guys what I am talking about. Any help/advise is appreciated.

I ordered one from a dealer a little over a year ago (Toyota of Kirkland) without any Pro Vin or hassle. I think each dealer is different.

When I replaced my shocks with ADS, I had to ditch the cable holders all together (because of the Icon AAL). Haven't had any issues yet.

Thanks gents. This is what I see. Not sure how it can interfere with the Pro shocks?

And while in there I also noticed this. Should I be worried? Dealer time?

I was thinking about using stack of washers for a time being, and yes the install manual mentions new bolt but doesn't mention the size. I guess I'll remove the original and take it to the store. Thanks.

sortof stock. 6112/5160, pro wheels and a tune.
you just need a 1"x1" square block with a 3/8'' hole in it. that will work temporary just fine. you just need something to space the ebrake cable guide from rubbing on the shock. even a steel spacer from the home depot/lowes hardware asile will work just fine until you can get the real one.

Like @whatstcp said, a 1” metal sleeve from ace and longer bolt will do the trick. Can even wrap it in heat shrink so it looks cleaner. I used washers at first and it was a pita

If the head of the bolt uses a 10mm wrench/socket then it's a 6x1.0mm bolt. 12mm wrench/socket then it's a 8x1.25mm bolt. if it's a 14mm wrench/socket that fits it's a 10x1.25mm bolt. 17mm wrench/socket it's a 12x1.25mm bolt. and if it's 19mm wrench/socket it's a 14x1.25mm bolt these sizes also go for the nuts . Toyota uses fine threads on all bolts and nuts . these are factory size aftermarket bolt and nuts you never know but most of the time they are off by 1 or 2 mm on the wrench size.
This just a guide. the larger sizes 17 & 19 mm could be different . I have also seen bolts on Toyota's the will have 12mm head bot have 10x1.25mm threads . very rarely .

Dude, you can go without the spacer, not a big deal really, unless doing some major off roading. It just gets your PBK cable away from the external bypass on the passenger side rear shock. Any type of spacer would work. I bought it from my dealer, he had one in stock, and it was only $9.

Just to clear up the nomenclature, that’s the external reservoir.

Bypasses are those little tubes on the outside.

I used one of the rubber spacers off the old shock unit and zip tied it on there .

I ordered the part online. No Pro vin needed.

Anyone can purchase that part. Or you can make your own spacer. Or you could run without it. The dealerships can be fickle about selling the entire TRD PRO suspension without the right VIN. It's total BS.

Seems like most of the dealers in my area requiring a VIn for that part. They can place an order but Toyota won't release it without a Pro VIN.
