    Hello,

I've owned my taco for about a month and want to upgrade the exhaust for sound purpose only.

Most of the exhaust sound to ricey for me so my options are going to be trd pro or the borla s type.

Theyre both quiet so my question is which one do you think is louder.

I want something more aggressive for such a bad ass truck.

I put the Pro Exhaust on and love it. Gave it some nice sound and looks good. Paired it with the TRD Intake at the same time.

They all sound like spitting into a tin can to me.

Some might upgrade you from bean can to coffee can, but there's no escaping that tinny rattlefart sound.

I have the TRD Pro exhaust on mine, along with a URD catless midpipe.
    I love how it sounds.

I would leave the stock exhaust on. I do like the look of the TRD exhaust, and it's a Toyota part.

If anything will do put a 6 inch exhaust tip on, and keep the neighbors up at night.

Im gonna be honest the stock exhaust that comes on the V6 SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, and Limited sound somewhat better than the TRD Pro exhaust or any aftermarket exhaust lol

I do think exhausts sounds different from am auto transmission to a manual transmission. I had the Borla on my 15 auto an the Pro on my manual.

Keep in mind that Borla is a bit louder. They both have similar tone though.

My buddy has trd and I have the borla.

This is the information I was looking for, someone who has heard both of them in person. I think I always was leaning towards the borla. Thanks

You won’t be disappointed with the Borla for sure.

I had the Borla S before going to the TRD Pro. The Borla was louder but also had a drone at highway speed that caused me to send it packing. TRD Pro IMO has a much better tone and no drone. GL.

Interesting. I notice no drone whatsoever with cruising speeds. When going up hills through mountain passes you can definitely hear it. When I was towing the exhaust was pretty loud as well. Basically anytime the engine is under load, I don’t mind the noise though. I still love hearing this exhaust after 3 years.
