More info than you want, but....

First, you'll need a conversion harness from @Puppypunter for your SR5 if you haven't got one already.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/sr-sr5-oem-led-headlight-harness-v2.736263/

It's a crapshoot no matter who you buy from as far as how they're packaged, but for price comparison enter these part numbers

    81150-04300
    81110-04300

at https://parts.toyota.com and compare prices at dealers near you. I found prices were cheaper at out of state dealers and I could avoid sales tax that way. I got mine at Larry H. Miller Toyota in Lemon Grove, CA for $1253.04, no tax, free shipping. Some have gotten them for around $1100.

Here's the headlight megathread (Some have listed dealers they've bought from.):

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2020-tacoma-oem-led-headlight-megathread.592039/page-120

Otherwise, Sparks Toyota with code "chloekuo" for 5% off is an option.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPvuQG-y4os

Good luck! It's totally worth it.

    Thanks for the CAT#s

Those I found for currently for $855.84 (MSRP $1,006.87) which I thought was crazy expensive until I saw the $1253.04 price you mentioned! Yikes!!!

Not that I'm going this route...but it's good to know this is out there.

    Well, that's great!

But seriously, for an OEM upgrade like that is quite the expense.

I've done TRD Skid plate, Talon CAT plat, Tailgate lock, bed mat, bed lights and allow wheel locks for "roughly" that price ($855.84) for one headlight, let alone a pair for $1253.04.

My next major purchase is a tonneau cover...roughly $1049.99 for the BAKFlip MX4. I'd invest in a set of 4 new wheels & tires before I did the headlight thing.

Hopefully by then, the prices will come down.

I agree, since you can order a new Tacoma with led's as $485 factory option. :annoyed:

Edit: I did the SS3 Max's at the same time, so add another $460 to the $1253.04.:spending:

    Oh, man!

I love spending money...my wife can't stand it...there's no justification for it.

The money could be saved and/or spent on other things that would benefit us...this would just benefit my own needs.

Glad you can spend...go ahead with your bad self!

OEM LED's are the ones you want. They're worth the money. Crashnburn80 has a writeup somewhere on here about them.

No the OEM LED's don't get hot enough to melt snow, but the SS3 Pro and Max level fogs do.

If you want to keep your halogen headlights there's a Phillip's H9 conversion on the forums written by Crashnburn80. Check it out.

    Wow!

I've ordered from them in the summer of 2021...but have not made any other purchases since early August. I hadn't considered ordering from them even though I get emails about product availability. Other sites I've ordered from do the same internet sales pitches.

"Leave No Trace" is a good rule to follow.

Seems like the guy explained and apologized for their actions. I don’t have social media so not sure how much more the company has done to remedy the situation in the past 3 years.

I do like the article writer’s suggestion of having them organize a trash cleanup. I have volunteered with my kids several beach cleanups here in SoCal and they are fun and educational.
