I keep going back and forth and can't decide if I should upgrade the grille on my 2015. What's everyone else's thoughts on the grille options?

The painted grilles look very nice compared to the shitty plastic chrome imo

I think he's asking about the grille insert, not the grille surround

I personally think the pro grill, replica or OEM, looks better than any of the other factory offerings.

I don't see what makes the replica so different from the OEM? Price tag?

It's always sketchy to go through eBay, but I reluctantly ordered my knock off Pro grill from eBay through a seller with really good ratings and it turned out great. No issues except I had to drill out one spot for a OEM tab to fit through. $140 if I recall. No way someone could tell its a knockoff just from looking at it.

The one thing you have going for you is you should have the color matched surround. Mine was chrome and I felt that needed to go. I color matched it, but it created a higher cost just to get the grille insert I wanted (TRD Pro). Otherwise, so many choices out there. It's really a personal preference.

I called my local Toyota dealership and they told me $1000! That's about 800 in US Dollars. There's no way I'd pay that much. Hard to pull the trigger on a replica as well when you want OEM quality

I've had my replica on for years and it still looks good. No showing of fading or anything. I even painted the logo and it turned out good. Also keep checking ebay for the grill surround, I got lucky and found a used cheap one on there.

Where'd you purchase yours from? There's so many replicas it's hard to tell which ones are quality.

Are the Gen 2.5 TRD Pro OEM grilles no longer available?

(I have one for my truck that’s not yet installed — not even out of the box. I’m not sure how to answer this poll. Very tough call between original “cowboy hat” grille and the TRD Pro grille.)

Weird, it says $429.99 US when I click that link. $72 for shipping...ends up being about $650 Canadian dollars.

That's about $350 cheaper than the dealer here quoted me though. I'd expect to have to pay some customs/duties on that as well. Hard to justify that much when people are happy with replicas at a 3rd of the price.

Still available here but my dealer quoted me a ridiculous price on it.

I have the original "cowboy hat" grille on my truck and I'm sort of split 50/50. Can't decide if the TRD Pro Grille is any nicer
