old thread but since i just did the grille from Kok figured i would respond in case anyone considers them in the future.

i ordered from them. incase you don’t see it , they ship in two packages not one (grille and letters/garnish separately).

it took just over a week for the first package (ca-ma). i only had one tracking number. when the second package didn’t show up the next day i reached out and they said there was a shipping error and then they gave me the tracking. took another week to receive the letters. made it seem like if i didn’t reach out i would have just never heard.

i assembled the garnish and the letters (individual letter style). one of the letters had 3 screw holes but the place the letter went was missing two of the tabs to screw into on the grille itself.

the garnish has two extra posts that are suppose to take a locking washer. similar to the one on the oem style. but instead of having a nice cut groove for the fingers to catch and look it’s a shitty burned in notch.

overall the fit up is good and it looks good assembled. i did the washer under the sensor trick and i’ve had no sensor warning. but overall it felt a little like you get what you pay for (they’re down to 105 right now). said and done i would have rather paid a little more for better service and product.

Has anyone bought just the garnish from Cartrimhome? If so, please post a pic on what it looks like...I'm trying to see just how silver and shiny it is compared to OEM. Thanks!

I've noticed TacomaBeast is now offering a TRD Pro grill with a glossy black option but can't find pictures anywhere. Does anyone have this one or pics of it?

OK, thanks. Do you have any film or coating on it? I may get one and try it out, and I can always put tint on it. I guess it works well with the TSS?

No film, no coating, no nothing. I only peeled the protective plastic layer off and installed it in their grill. No errors with TSS either.

I took a chance and ordered just the garnish from Cartrimhome...used a discount code and got it for like $28. Got it in the mail today. Obviously a product from overseas, but man, it does look a lot more subdued than most third party garnishes. It's a lot darker, and the silver paint is no where as near as bright as my TacoVinyl garnish. I'm pleasantly surprised!

I had considered Taco Garage garnish too, but they admitted to me that there's are 'bright and shiny', which is NOT what I wanted.

I saw the other day on the local ABC NY news a story where Amz was cracking down on counterfit products. They showed the law enforcement guys going and and removing boxes and boxes of stuff. One guy opened a box and I said, WOW, that is a TRD Pro grill. Uh-Oh. Anyone else see that story? Around April 4ht or so. :ballchain:

Upcoming...... Pro grille and driving lights

    Hey Tyler....

I was just reading through the threads about the Pro Grille and came upon the photo of your truck and wanted to ask you about the behind the lower grille lightbar.

I note that you did NOT cut out the grille vertical and horizontal grid. Some of the installation videos I've seen show those cut out, and I am not sure if I want to cut mine out or not. I know not cutting them out may require using a pressure washer to get rid of the bugs and such that might accumulate within each rectangle but wanted to ask your opinion.... and ask which light you got and how you wired it up.

    Thanks.
