Has anyone with the 22+ Pro had an issue with a front left suspension squeak when going over bumps? it's pretty much any size bump at any speed. I have approx 1000 miles and it's been going on pretty much since I got it but haven't had a chance to get it in for service due to travel. It's a manual and don't really want to leave it with them because I am afraid of someone trying to move it that can't drive stick roasting my clutch so hoping to get any direction I can give them to make the visit quicker and less painful. TIA

My bet would be the strut. They are known to squeak for some reason. I had struts replaced on my 17 and my 20 tacomas.

This might not help at all but I had a pretty bad squeak up front and tried several things. Sticking my head in there and try to rock the truck led me to my UCA. I have SPC but the squeak was not due to the brand.

The thing that stopped my squeaking was disconnecting the ball joint from the spindle, cleaning the mating surfaces and putting it back together. Something in there was rubbing and trying that fixed it.

Good to know. It would be interesting if it was the shock. I wa thinking a connection the whole time and hadn’t considered just a faulty shock.
    I mean it’s 100% stock so I hope not.
Cool the dealer can handle that one. But will certainly pass that along.

Most of the ones I've serviced it's the stupid skid plate. I remove it and grease all the contact points.

The TRD skid plate definitely leaves room for improvement. I can't count how many I've removed that had cross threaded bolts.

Cab mount bolt front left side...my 23 brand new from the dealer is doing it. Mainly over bumps and uneven surfaces.

Interesting. Haven’t had mine off yet.

Cool. Thanks. I’ll def suggest they look at that if they have any issues. Having the dealer look at it under warranty. I don’t have time to mess with it. Seems to also have a misfire.

Well my truck 2023 Tacoma is at Toyota again. First Cab Mount replaced at 10kms day after I got it... found out today cab mount needs to be replaced again at 3800kms. They mentioned this time it will be replaced under warranty..if it happens again I will have to pay for it. This seems to be an issue if the truck is chewing through them every 4000kms.

My truck has an eibach 1.75" lift and they said my CV boot has a tear and it's not covered under warranty. No off roading and is a pavement queen. This should be covered even with a lift, same height as TRD Pro lift.

I had a very similar issue that came after an alignment.

I loosened the lower control arm bolts with the truck on an even surface and retorqued them to 175 ft. lbs, squeak instantly disappeared.

Unrelated but I feel your pain. Went in for rotation and intake tech said confidently all employees could drive manual. Stalled the truck many times driving into the bay. SMH.

Another funny time, went in for alignment at different place. Got there early checked in and handed the keys over. Says he has to road test before starrting. Watched through the glass as the guy walked over to the truck and has a puzzled look staring at the interior. After a while he comes back and says I can't drive stick and we'll bypass the road test today. :D

Protect your clutch. Don't let them drive it. No way to prove damage if they roast it. It's sad that no one can drive it anymore.

I’m gonna have to drop the skid and try this. Just noticed the squeak today. Do you use regular old white lithium grease?

It would work, I use anti seize because its metal/metal it could lead to corrosion down the road.

If the noise is coming from the strut, its a design flaw that we found when eibach was making the pro lift springs.

The pro updated the springs in 2021 (I think) to go from a flat ground spring to a full coil. The bottom spring perch is designed for the full coil, but the top spring hat is still designed for a flat ground spring. This causes a pressure hot spot on the hat that can cause it to sit angled and rub the strut shaft. Toyota doesnt have a fix for this, but eibach has a fix (though it does add a 1 inch lift)

But the noise could be as others said and be the cab mount bushings, those tend to make noise too.

Interesting. Could make sense. I thought the Eibach springs on the 22+ didn't give much of a lift above the increased PRO height for those years. IIRC the Eibach is 1.2" lift but only ends up being .2" because of the 1" factory lift? I did the research about a year ago so details are sketchy in my head at this point.

The springs give the full lift 1.5 inch lift over stock trd pro spring. The 1 inch factory lift that you speak of doesnt matter, the eibach springs go above that (I have them in my trd offroad with pro suspension)

But the design flaw is there from the factory, we just dont see it much on stock trucks because there is not enough spring pressure stock to really cause it.
