Just picked up a set up OEM TRD Pro fox suspension off a 2021 with 19k miles. Do I need to get different UCA’s or any other components to make these fit?

Don’t think you need the UCA’s
But all other stuff will fit

I just installed these on my truck 4 weeks ago or something.

Those parts will fit on 2nd Gen.
    see attached.
Just keep in mind that the spring rate is #700 lbs from what I have researched.

If you have a spacer lift of more than 1/2in the stock UCA will rub on the spring at maximum droop. You can see the light rust spot.
    I run this issue of a setup, but… I’m a cheapskate and I don’t wheel that hard.
I don’t hear anything when it rubs, so meh. A problem for a future blueberry… fuck that guy.

You WILL run into an issue where the LCA shock tab is bent inwards. Just bend it outwards just a bit with love kisses from the sledge or similar, and you are good to go.

    Happy trailblazing!

Thanks! Hows the ride and lift height? Does the truck sit well?

    Note below is subjective.
Installed Recall leaf springs, replaced old Off-road yellow shocks.

    TLDR:
1.8 in of lift from coil overs.
    Improved ride quality from stock.
    15% Reduction of breaks dive.
    Good off-road.
    Great on-road
    Kinda stiff but manageable.
8/10 would recommend if you are on a budget and looking for a simple bolt on replacement, that’s is a 15-20% improvement from stock.

    Ride Quality 7/10
    • Great on road. I don’t notice too much my poorly maintained pavements. Not perfect like a Rolls but great.
    • Good on washboards
    • 15% less on the break dive (noticeable and very nice)
    • Good on bumps at speed or crawling.
    • Kinda stiff with 700lbs spring rate.
    • Better than stock, but I had a budget. It’s not perfect, but hey better than stock.
    Lift height?
That’s a complicated question. I had to dig into so many rabbit holes and dead ends researching this very question.
    Here is the TLDR.

With these on a 2nd Gen you gain a total of 1.8in approx of height (measured from hub to fender).

    —-

    A) With the factory equipped 1in lift for 3rd Gen.
    B) Plus the higher LBS spring rate for a 3rd Gen, if installed on a 2nd Gen you gain 0.5-0.8in (approx)
(0.8 if no winch or heavy bumper.
0.5 if installed winch or heavy bumper. This math will change if you have a 4cyl vs the 6cyl. I have the 6cyl)
    C) 1/4 or 1/2 spacer can be installed w/o issue if you want. Any more you will run into issues.
UCA and coil contact at full droop.
LCA maxed out at maximum droop.
    Potential CV bind

    A+B+C= lift maths.
Full Droop = where all installed components are at the lowest possible angle possible.
Maximum Droop = where the LCA itself is at the lowest maximum angle possible.

    Does the truck sit well?
Yeah looks good to me see the photos, I did have to raise the rear with a 1.5” block for now. Your mileage may vary.
(yes yes I know spacer block bad!)
Until I save up for a AAL or Leaf pack I haven’t decided the block stays, and the Recall leafs are new. 3 months old.

Oh hey I found a photo of the UCA rub.

Sorry if this was long winded, and detailed.

These are some of the best riding shocks I've felt! Report back when you get them installed!

Great info and Details ! I currently have Bilstein 5100’s on my truck would these make the truck drop lower or be the same height?

It depends on what clip you have yours on.

    1st clip = 0″ (stock)
    2nd clip = 0.65″
    3rd clip = 1.1″
    4th clip = 1.55″
    5th clip = 2″

I’d assume it would sit the same. If on clip 5. w/o top spacers or the westcott preload spacer and top spacer lift.

Can you please clarify what “clip” means, I never heard of that word. Thank you

These appear to be exactly what I'm looking for to level things out with the HD springs.

Yeah I got them for a smoking deal, the guys was literally going to toss them in the trash (why? I do not know). Funny thing is I was about to pull the trigger on a set on Ebay for $1800 the same day I bought these.

Bluberry did you have to align it or center the steering wheel after the install? I assume since the arms didn’t come off no, but figured I’d ask.

I had to disconnect the LCA from the Spindle.
I just took it to do an alignment today.
Mine was off before I did the change.
I don’t think they centred the steering wheel. But it isn’t noticeable.

Cool, thanks for the reply. If I go forth this route I’ll throw it in the rack at work.

Blueberry, I have a 2013 Tacoma that I am considering getting a TRD Pro lift for. I have a 3.5 inch Rough County lift I'm not happy with. Are you pretty happy with the TRD Pro lift? Also, it looks like your caster isn't very much. Did you end up putting UCA to correct this or are you still running stock UCA?

I'm not the dude you're looking for, but I had this lift on my 2014. Was a solid upgrade for the money, although I've since moved on to a different setup

Link to my post. 2022 TRD Pro Suspension on 2006 SR5

You won't need UCA's but you will likely need to add a leaf to your rear spring packs. I netted about 1-1/2" all around for suspension lift. I run 265 75 R16 tires, so I picked up another 1" there for a total of 2-1/2" of lift with the Fox Pro setup.

They'll need a rebuild, but I'll be selling my TRD Pro shocks on the forum here sometime soon if you're interested
