    Hello everybody!

My name is Dennis, I am new in this Forum, I have just bought a TACO TRD PRO 2020 and I am already in need of some good advice!

I am planning to change the tire with NITTO RIDGE GRAPPLER 285/75/16 and I would love to have a little more ground clearance.

In the the past I lifted other trucks loosing completely the off-road dynamic capabilities and I don’t want to face this side affect on such a fine tuned vehicle as the TRD PRO.

I was thinking about EIBACH PRO LIFT KIT springs (+2”) and Icon ADDED LEAF (+1.5”).

    https://www.stage3motorsports.com/E...Tacoma-Eibach-Pro-Lift-Kit-Front-Springs.html

    https://www.bilsteinlifts.com/shop/...-expansion-pack-add-leaf-96-18-toyota-tacoma/

    I have 2 questions:

1: Can I install them Eibach Springs on the original Fox 2.5?
2: Do you think this lift (Eibach+Icon) could be a good solution to have more ground clearance without affecting the dynamic capability of the Taco?

    Thanks in advance

    Dennis

Those original fox shocks are not meant to be constantly sitting 2" higher than they were designed. Ride quality will immediately suffer on that alone.

If you're lifting it, you'll want a shock that is designed and matched to the new spring. Tons of options available out there that are ready to go.

I recommend Bilstein 6112 front coilovers and Bilstein 5160 rear shocks. Great value and will maintain an incredible ride while giving you even better off-road capability and clearance.

Leave it stock and throw the 285s on it. Plenty of pro owners running 285s on stock rims and suspension.

I'm not sure about Westcott vs Revtek.

Westcott has a block in the rear, the lift is achieved with a thicker collar and a top plate shim.

Revtek has an add-a-leaf, the lift is achieved with a top plate spacer. Revtek also includes a differential drop. :notsure:

@Ryan at Eibach can respond about the coils...

Not yet - had to remove the front flaps and there’s no rub but I haven’t gone crazy with it yet.

Looking forward for @Ryan at Eibach feedback. The springs are so far my favorite solutions, according as well to Raptor owner’s experiences.

I totally get your point point of view, and that’s exactly why I am not considering a “lift” but to increase the ground clearance with springs+AAL.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have a lift myself.

There's so many eccentricities that seem to all too often accompany even the simplest of lifts on these trucks. Throw my bad luck in the mix, and I'm the guy that's gonna be chasing those vibrations on what should have been a nice simple job with all the right parts. Guaranteed.

You see it here on the forum, nearly every day.
