Has anyone been able to find the black TRD PRO Badges yet? I keep looking for them online but can't find anything. I have been reading about the grill only be available to those that can provide a TRD PRO VIN, but nothing regarding the badges.

Not sure about the availability of the 'TRD PRO' badge as far as getting them to sell it to you. According to TRD's website, there is a black TRD badge available without a photo. A search of that part number turned up a 4runner forum with it listed as the 'TRD PRO' badge.

    http://www.toyotaracing.com/trd/par...5&models=Tacoma&categories=all&subcategories=

    Part Number: PT413-00150

That part number is different from the 'TRD' badge that myself and some members have which came on the Baja's. For just the TRD emblem, those part numbers are...

    Red: PT413-35120-02

    Black: PT413-35120-03

Not sure how I feel about running a 'TRD PRO' emblem on a non-PRO truck. Just the 'TRD' emblem though is another story. I'm a big fan of the look.

OEM Black 'TACOMA' emblems are also available. A quick Ebay search will show you and help you land part numbers. They made them for the X-runner's too. There are two types, one a straight black and another with metallic in it.

Regarding the grill.... I've been trying, still no luck. I have another lead to pursue but it'll prolly be a dead end. Everything that's looked promising so far has failed. They're protective over that thing.

I tried the same route. No dice without a vin. My parts guy brought it all the way to his manager. My plan is to get a vin from a place like my local dealer and go from there. If they need a photo I'll provide them w one. but I'm sure I can find a pro at a dealer or parked somewhere to capture a vin

I've tried that. They want more than a vin. They want proof of ownership and photos to show need for replacement, like a busted grill. Give it a shot on your end though. Never know.

It's easier to have a photo of a Tacoma with a "stolen" or missing grill than to photoshop a busted one. :)

I was referring to the black Toyota and Tacoma badges on the Pros. They seem to have more of a matte finish than the X-runner badges.

So do the Tacoma TRD Pro's come with the straight black or the ones with metallic in it?

If it is just TRD badging you are after for a TRD Sport or TRD Off-Road, there is another route. Although very few North American Toyota vehicles have TRD specific badging outside of those special Baja and Pro Models, the foreign Toyota vehicles have a lot of TRD badges. I found some online that were replacement badges for a Japanese Toyota vehicle that had TRD badging. You can get your hands on a set of those easy enough. I have one Grille emblem and one on the tailgate next to the "V6" emblem.

Adding to this thread for reference..

Myself and another member 'brandnewcolony' compared some photos of the two different Tacoma badge options.

Here are photos of 75427-04020-C1 - Which is the part number for the gloss black 'Tacoma' badges that were around prior to the Pro trucks. These are the ones I had purchased from my parts dept.

Now here are photos of 75427-04040 - This is supposed to be the part number for the Pro edition 'Tacoma' badges. These were ordered by Brandnewcolony and verified by his part dept guys as being correct for the Pro.

As you can see, they're both pretty much the same. Both plain gloss black.

    Jim,
There is also part number 75427-04041 Which was mentioned above.
An ebay seller has that part number available for sale as a "TRD Pro Tacoma Badge" and it is Flat Black.
Geez I'm confused lol I just want to make sure I get the right ones.
I want to order the "TRD Pro" Tailgate badge and just use the TRD portion, just not sure if that one is gloss or flat black.
