Interesting. Yea there’s a place that specializes in Toyota stuff i know he could do it in his sleep but he essentially said “hell no” in not so many words.
And i called toyota even though i dont have them do anything and i could tell the main guy really wanted to do it but was bummed they wouldn’t let him. Appreciate the offer!

Ill check it out thanks. Thanks

As a recommendation in case you haven't read the entire first page that is a huge source of info, I believe the "minimum" highly recommended additions are a fuel pump. And since you're buying a kit these days in CA, I assume you're stuck with a Bully Dog tuner. I'd recommend getting a kit WITHOUT the BullyDog tuner and either sourcing a spare ECU to have VIN matched and the Toyota TRD Tune flashed.

I second getting a spare ECU and having @JustDSM or one of his guys flash it.
That’s what I did and it’s been perfect.
I got an ecu from flagship one.com. Just be sure to choose the correct ECU by checking your OEM one first. They are easy to get to.

You need the bully dog tuner kit to get the Carb EO in CA. You can try to toss on the TRD one but the Magnuson one only comes with it if you get the tuner kit. @JasonLee Basically a pay-to-play. I never took the BD tuner out and sent my ECU off to @JustDSM

I have a question. What should be the correct AFR for our S,C trucks when we are?
    1) Highway cruising
    2) Idle
    3) under load at 6.5 psi

    1) about 14.7 cruising
    2) about 14.7 idle
    3) about 11.5 high load and rpm.
If you have hp tuners you can look at the map to see what is commanded AFR.

I see similar AFRs in the 3 scenarios above.

Just wanted to add that the Ultragauge has a AFR PID/channel and it's a pretty good data point. Except you need to do some quick math as stoich= 1.00 on the UG, and running rich/lean measures as .8xx - 1.xx.

But it works...and it works pretty well for those that don't have an afr gauge.

Hey everyone, so I finally just got my engine back in my truck, however still a roughly a week out from turning the key and seeing what happens :fingerscrossed: .

When I installed the AC compressor I tried spinning the pulley center by hand and found it to be hard to turn but managed a few rotations but then got to a point where I could no longer turn by hand. I can’t imagine this is right? I wanted to see if anyone would be willing to check theirs to confirm before I continue to button everything back up.

You should be able to spin the compressor by hand. Even if the system is intact and full of freon spinning the compressor by hand is doable. Sounds like the compressor is on its way out. I would handle it now before it grenades and sends metal through the whole system.

With my 2.8 pulley going on this week, I will (finally) be upgrading my fuel pump. How many of you guys are running the external URD filter kit? It seems kinda expensive....

I'm not running the URD kit. But I did purchase the item individually to build my own kit similar to the URD. Below are the list of items. You'll save some money and personally I think you'll get a better overall setup with upgrades like the fuel tube. You can save more money by going with a lower fuel pump.

Aeromotive 11540 Fuel Pump (340 series)
    K&N PF-2300 Hose Clamp
    Racetronix fuel tube upgrade
