Is TRD Exhaust worth it to get? Not looking for power. Only sound and no drones.

With what you said in mind, only you can decide on the value of the sound, there are a lot of accessories that offer more function for the money.

Jumping off what @Lucifer1 said, it will ultimately be your choice if its worth it or not. I think most will say paying about $650 in US dollars to change the sound of the exhaust is probably not worth it. But if it is something of a priority for you it might very well be. I don't have one but the people who do seem to love the sound of it. I would think about if it was half the price but its definitely not high in my priority list of things to get for my taco. GL on your decision either way. If you do get it, post pics!

I agree. They quoted $700. I heard a TRD pro with the exhaust, not worth it. Know another exhaust system that may be best bang for bucks?

Flowmaster seems to be another popular choice as well as MBRP. Those are cheaper than the TRD Pro.

I put the TRD intake and Exhaust in my OR. I definitely like them mostly because it’s OEM stuff, but if I could do it again shoulda just got a Pro from the beginning.

Definitely improved the sound, performance gains are minimal. Just hope it helps the truck breathe better. If you can find a good deal on it then go for it, but you could probably get more bang for your buck on suspension or armor.

I've had my pro exhaust since 2017 and still love the sound and throttle response paired with the TRD intake. I only paid $350 luckily for one used for like 50 miles so it was a no brainer for me. Before that I had MagnaFlow for a month and there was just way to much drone.
TRD is the perfect sound for my truck.

For the money I don’t think so. But everything for the dang Tacoma is so pricey. Wrangler aftermarket parts were so inexpensive!

    Way overpriced!

I have a Black Widow muffler for my truck. I ordered the muffler directly from their website for $120 and I had a local muffler shop install it for me for $80. Different company and muffler design so different sound from the rest.

"You cannot make a taco sound like a tundra unless you spend the money to put a tundra motor in your taco"

Using that mindset is why I chose a different sound from the the rest. Instead of trying to imitate a V8 or something similar with a very expensive at catback bolt on kit, I spent $200 and love what I have.

Don't get the neighborhater muffler... They really will hate you!!!

Plenty of threads on this already.

I have it, is it “worth” $600-$700? Not to me. I bought mine used for $320, at that price yes it’s definitely worth it to me

Best sounding exhaust I ever heard on the Tacoma. I have the TRD CAI and Pro exhaust, paid like $750 for both and love the sound. Makes my Tacoma just over all feel better performance wise and sounds great.
