looking to purchase the TRD exhaust system and was wondering if anyone has done an install on this? If so, how difficult was it and are there additional parts required to install it?

Buy yourself a new exhaust flange gasket. You will almost certainly have an exhaust leak if you try to reuse the old flange gasket.

I am a lot older and slower but it took me only about 20 minutes. It probably could be done without putting it up on a lift but it would have been much harder. My truck had around 5000 miles when I changed it out and I decided to use the original gasket. There have been no leaks. You also do not need to mess with the battery, oxygen sensor, or any compression springs on the 3rd gen Tacoma.

I just put on a flow master and made it a dual exhaust. Looks bad ass. With chrome tips out each side.

Im always so confused why people do this themselves my exhaust shop charges 40$ to install an exhaust. Thats welded and custom routed. Infact just went back to stock from magnaflow (way too loud inside with chopped tailpipe) and took them only 15 min and did it for free.

For just an install with you providing exhaust. Dang. Now i see why haha. I also understand the satisfaction of doing itself as well but i cant weld so the 40$ was worth the 15 minute install in the shade since it was hot as hell today in socal

Not around me, every single exhaust shop wants a couple hundred bucks just to weld on a magnaflow/flowmaster muffler.

Back when I had my Duramax and Dodge Cummings, I bought a mail order 4 inch turbo back kit for around $230 shipped. I couldn't find a shop who would build me a 4 inch turbo back exhaust with a muffler for under $800.

    Not enough to list
Id use a scribe, 90 degree would work good. You can see where the gasket meets the pipe inside. just take the scribe and work it between the two surfaces, also working around as you go.
