I just bought a 2001 toyota tacoma with 15" stock steel wheels. I am wanting to upgrade to the 16" TRD beadlock wheels. Before I spend $1000 on new wheels I would like some reassurance that they will fit. I have attached a picture of the wheels and a picture of my truck. Any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

Here is when I had a set on my truck. If you get a set make sure to hold on to them. I stupidly sold mine lol

If you want the gray ones that you pictured, good luck! They are restricted by Toyota to needing a VIN from a Baja in order to get them (and even then, only 1 at a time). You can get the black or bronze. You may already have found a set or know a way to get them, which in that case disregard this message...but if not, I just wanted you to be aware how incredibly hard they are to get if you didn't know that already.

    From that listing:

"Constructed of low-pressure cast alloy- these TRD-branded 16-inch off-road beadlock style wheels offer owners a distinctive and rugged upgrade to their stock wheels. They provide a higher strength-to-weight ratio for optimal performance and feature a black painted finish and machined outer lip with beadlock styling. TRD-embossed snap-in center cap included."

Just an FYI. Don't want you to be disappointed when you think you're getting gray and you get black. I still think the black and bronze (my personal favorite) are awesome wheels.

So they aren't really beadlocks, it would appear...

Ok thanks for the information. I am thinking on going with the bronze TRD beadlocks. These will be going on my regular cab 01 tacoma with no lift. Any pics or ideas about how they will look.

I am selling mine when I get new rims but that won't be for a while! Haha. But my friend had a silver 02 xtra cab with bronze. I can take a pic Monday at work and post it

The "bead lock" rings look nice but in reality, they create pockets that trap dirt and mud and generally make the wheel hard to clean.

The good thing is, they look just as good or even better when you leave that rim off.

I got bronze beads on my '99 recently. Bought them from Low Range Off-Road as they had the best price I could find.

Also, I have an OME lift. The tires are 265/75/16s, and I had Discount Tire do the install. I also bought the Toyota lugs (~$130) for these wheels, as recommended by others who have this wheel on their Taco. Pricey, but I like 'em.:)

265/75/16 Big O AT's on factory fake beadlocks.
Also, they aren't really beadlocks. They're fakes. If that's the look your going for, fine. I like mine but wouldn't spend $1000 to replace them if they were stolen.
