OK, so I just installed a GForce Performance Chip to complement my TRD Cold Air Intake and TRD Full Flow Exhaust in my 4.0l 2012 Tacoma. Didn't really expect any noticeable differences, but let me tell you. It really woke up that 4.0l.
Has anyone else installed one and if so, what has your result. Just wondering because as a Professional Auto Tech I don't really believe in these aftermarket features.
The reason I tried this one is because of the way they achieve it by basically changing fuel trim and ratio.
I think the Chip with TRD C.A.I and Exhaust is a great chemistry.

And no, I don't work for GForce.

Well I'm glad it worked for you... I would never install one on my own truck, but shit I hope they work! The stuff I'm reading on their website isn't really giving me the answers I am looking for...

    Some stuff here and there....
I looked into the gforce chip when i first got my truck. Asked around about it didnt hear to much. And couldnt find anything on here about it either or anyone using them. So just decided to not bother. Would like to see some dyno info if you happen to go try it out tho. Glad you like it op. Keep is posted.

Upon further analysis of their website and what is going on, I'm just gonna go ahead and put my vote in for SCAM. When they scratch out an MSRP of $399 and sell it for $69, it is an instant red flag in my head. I can't think of one legitimate tuning performance part that is $69 and works. It costs a lot to R&D parts like this, and when gforce has you select your model it would make one assume that they have somehow tuned the one they are sending you specially for your vehicle type. Mods make each tune unique.

The stock tune is already at approximately 10.0-10.4 AFR which is very rich and therefore "safe". The Gforce chip states that it throws more fuel into the mixture to compensate for the increased volume of air entering the system. All this would do if it were doing anything at all would be to make the mixture even more rich (given the ECU does not pick up on it and compensate). This would lead to dumping more fuel out of your tail pipe and leaving power on the table. If anything, the unit should be pulling fuel to lean out the mixture. You got swindled. Take your money and buy a URD Maf Cal so that you can see what a real open loop tune can get you for not a whole lot of money.

They want name and email BEFORE they let you select engine, that isn't right, let alone that $400.... no $69 older than dirt cheap sales scam.

found these photos on googling images on Gforce.

Bottom picture shows what is inside the Gforce box, looks impressive, except when you look from the back it is clear the center "chip" is not even in the circuit, the wiring looks to be a series of resistors with the connection passing under the chip.

Upon further searching I found the source of the pictures and story. It gets better, the one tested was an open circuit, even the resistors weren't connected.

Can't see how that would wake up anything?
