There were about two photos of these things floating around before I ordered them, so I’m sharing a few more for others who might be interested. These are the 2024 OEM Cast Aluminum Running Boards from Toyota.

They are SOLID. Zero play whatsoever once mounted. The install is dead simple; it took about 20 minutes total. You don’t need two people. Toyota made two of the bolt holes “open” so you can leave two bolts in the truck and simply slide the running boards into place. Then add the other six bolts and you’re done.

The running boards stick out just a bit farther than the door (as shown in the vertical photo) so they will provide great protection against door dings from regular cars, which is the primary reason I got them. They’re also sprayed with bed liner, so they’re essentially two giant sticks of 60-grit sandpaper just waiting to DECIMATE the paint of anyone careless enough to fling their door into one.

As for making it easier to get in/out of the truck: meh. Maybe? I don’t use them for that, but my kids might. Too soon to tell.

Yea, the cost front is nothing but insanity. $1,300 at market rate. I got this pair for $400 as part of a deal on the truck itself. The dealer ordered them at their employee cost and then we split that 50/50.

I don’t think I’d have gone with these at full price. They’re super nice, but $1,300 is just nuts.

My truck has these and I like them!

I think it would be cool if someone made a bolt on slider that fit under it

I didn't really want these, but they came on my truck. Was gonna take them off for true sliders, but now undecided. They're really nice.

Also, with +25 offset wheels, they catch all the gravel. Not a single paint chip and I've come to love that ting-ting-ting sound.

Just bought a 24' TRDOR. I work construction so I wear a size 11 big steel toe boot I have to slide out over the seat bolster I barley can make contact with the stock step, your opinion, will these work better than the puny step I have now? A flippin' A pillar handle would also help!
