BTW, I just re-read the 1st Post. From my pics, the ball sits as low as possible, which was my particular request for it. If you and @7r41lbr34k3r get together on this, he can drive the threads down A LOT further in knob to raise it up.

Perhaps I am overthinking this comment, but ... I suppose my thread got so big that newcomers do not see it for what it once was (well, still is ... it is a matter of perception).

Every design in that thread came to fruition incrementally, all from forum member requests. At some point the perception of the end product became just that. "Oh, here is X product for X price". When really it can still be the living and breathing project that it always has been.

Everything has a life cycle, so I just chalk it up to that. It sure kept me busy for 2 years ... still can't believe how far that went before there were signs of slowing.

    :hattip: Thanks!

The MT was pretty much the most important feature of my Taco. Kind of glorifying it a bit there.

    :D Mr @7r41lbr34k3r .

You also what his 3D printed collar to finish it. The grommet is a nice mod, but the collar is just sweet.

There is so much information on the thread it's great, but also very time consuming for someone new to the whole idea. I didn't see any pictures of ones that didn't attach to the boot on what's offered on the first page. I read through some pages, but like I said...time consuming. I have reservations on ordering a custom piece at this stage, although your work looks top quality. I love that TW is a place where things like this are created.

Funny thing, I have only been asked twice to make a knob that doesn't connect with the boot ... and both of those guys are posting in this thread.

I am sure there will be an iteration in the first post of my thread at some point next year. Just depends how motivated I am to fire back up after my planned winter hiatus.
