I was interested in the truck, but he didn't spend much time talking about it.

What roof rack is that? Also, are those fog lights standard TRD Pro or something else?

Pro fogs. Looks like a front runner rack. My best friend knows him. I can maybe get him to ask about his truck...

I'll text him and see what's up. I stopped by his house a few months ago and he was hanging out in the garage with Haley and that Garand Thumb guy. I forget his name. Somehow they all contracted together or something.

He needs my interior molle rack.
I'd love to go to one of his pistol classes. Dude is a machine.

Chris Costa modded his 3rd Gen Tacoma as well through 4WheelParts in Dallas

Both of these guys run great courses and classes for the dynamic shooter.
Took the Magpul Dynamics course (back when they were still together training people)

There's better folks to train under that are less focused on selling you shit and more up to date on current technique. Less flash more bang.

worked at a gun shop and gun range for years, and the owner gave us these courses as a bonus gift to us for our work.
so why not take a free class and free travel on the owners dime.

definitely worth the time, learned a lot

No doubt. Not bashing TH, just tired of the hero worship BS.

If you can find a way to get into one of these courses before they go the way of the dodo I would highly recommend it:

Is this Travis someone important? His truck is pretty basic, there are more well built trucks on this site than his.

hes is big in the tactical shooting instructor world.
Travis Haley and Chris Costa started magpul years ago, and they are very "tacticool/tactifamous" instructors in the shooting world

I’ve noticed a lot of gun/tactical folks drive Tacomas, including myself. The two seem to go hand in hand. Why is that?

    Stock for now
Travis is the real deal. I have taken his carbine rifle course in the past. I’m not a fan of Costa although he is a great shooter. There certainly isn’t anything wrong with promoting his business all while also providing excellent weapon handling courses. He runs and sells good gear. If you have the opportunity to take one of his courses I recommend it.

    LOL

Lights before winch, always in a pinch.
Winch before rack, don't bring the pack.

His pro looks like it has a lift? I saw what looks like a spacer up front? Would like to know more, nice stance on that truck.

Haley defintely knows how to sell himself to get dudes to buy his product and good on him for making a living from it. The magoul days were ..interesting when he and Costa used theatrics ti sell DVDs to arfcom. The silly is back in this one though; especially once it got to showing off the firearms and reloads just laying around ready to be prowled while he's off on the paramotor.
