Anyone has suggestions for trash system, i am on my 3rd trasharoo and getting tired of literally in a month get a discolored bag and by end of season seams and fabric falls apart. Any suggestions welcome if you use something else what you use and would you recommend it.

    Thanks.

Spray it with UV protectant. 303, Scotch guard, whatever. Don’t be lazy and take it off the 95+% of time you aren’t over landing and put it outside the sunlight.

Thanks will keep that in mind if no options come up. though i do travel alot and pretty much 80% stays on and do wash it often, not sure about continually spraying it to keep it protected, will put that on list.

As stated above, it needs to be treated or it'll get cooked.
Another option, take heavy duty trash bags. They take up less space, you don't have to worry about cleaning them after you get rid of the trash, you don't have to worry about sun damage at the end of the season, you don't have to worry about the scratching the truck, you don't have to worry about them being stolen. I know they aren't "overland" enough, or "cool". But, they work.

Contractor trash bags don’t advertise to everyone else that you’re a badass overlanding hero but they work better and are cheaper than a trasharoo.

Blue Ridge makes a pretty hefty bag in two sizes. I went with the smaller one because of the price difference. I mainly use it and keep it on when we're a good distance from a dump and I don't want anything to leak in the back of the 4Runner. If I'm not going to use it for a while I just unclip it from the straps and keep it in the rig. I don’t have pictures of the bag on the spare tire but here are the straps that remain on the tire when not in use.

I also got a free one while I was at the Gambler and it was very practical because of how its made. Its made of thick mesh which makes it convenient to clean and drains any spills that might occur on the road. I'm not sure if they sell it or if it was just a promotional item but it also wouldn't be too difficult to make your own.

I think spare tire trash bags are silly.

I hang an S-clip inside my camper and then use one of the plastic grocery sacks that I never bring home and yet still seem to have a million of.

I guess I just don't generate enough trash in a weekend to have a dedicated backpack. :notsure:

So you put diapers, raw chicken packaging, beer cans that drip etc. in your camper? I sure wouldn’t want all that inside of anything, except a trash can. Or maybe hanging off the back of my truck where I don’t have to worry about all that. Maybe they’re just silly for your uses.

I transfer my raw meats/veggies/foods to Rubbermaid containers when packing before the trip, then wash the containers while cooking each meal. Makes my cooler organization easier, minimizes the kind of trash that might draw in unwanted animals, and allows repacking of leftovers. Win-win-win. I'd recommend that method to anyone.

As for the diaper, you got me there. I choose to poop outside. :cookiemonster:
