Does anyone has the OEM part number for the transmission mount for an auto, 2.7l, 4x4?
I can't seem to get the right one...tried at O'Reilly's and it's not even close.
    Any quality aftermarket brands?
    Thanks guys...

How much play should be in a healthy tranny mount?

It's supposed to move around brand new. That big bolt that goes through it acts as a last ditch effort to keep the transmission from falling out in the event that the rubber breaks. Just check yours for cracks in the rubber if it is old. The cracks on mine were right where the rubber meets the steel.

Hey Noah, you wouldn't happen to have a picture of your old mount would you??
I see you are from Tallahassee....I was born & raised in Thomasville, GA which is only about 30min North of you!

I dont actually have a picture of the bad transmission mount, but I do have a picture of a bad engine mount. They are made out of the same material and I replaced both engine mounts and the transmission mount at the same time. The engine mount cracks look almost identical to the transmission mount, but they are harder to see when installed. You can put a jack underneath the output flange of the transmission and jack it up to see how much it moves. If it's bad it will be separating where the rubber meets the steel.

I've been up to Thomasville a few times, it's a really nice place. I see you're in Bentonville now? I went there a few summers ago on a road trip and got to see the Crystal Bridges museum and Eureka Springs.

Yeah, I got transferred or asked to move here in '06. Part of the "Vendor World" for Walmart. I may spend our summer vacation in Thomasville so the kids can see their Grandparents.
