I'm looking for a mounting bracket that rotates the plug 90* underneath the bumper so it's out of the way. I'm not really interested in cutting a hole in the bumper itself to mount next to the license plate. I've seen that these were available several years ago but the makers have stopped producing them from what I can find. Any ideas?

I removed one of the license plate lights and mounted the plug in it's spot. You only need one light. The RV type plug receptical fits right in. I also rotated the plug receptical so the spring loaded door hinges down. Makes it much easier to align the plug into the receptacle.

I do a lot of towing and this was a huge improvement.

This looks factory to me and you don't need to cut a hole in the bumper.

You could unbolt the mount and zip tie it up out of the way. That's what I did with mine......after I broke it the first day of ownership.
Mine was already tweaked when I got the truck so I got a replacement trailer light harness. It's still in the factory Toyota bag in my garage. Maybe I'll install it one of these days.

No bracket is needed. I drilled 4 holes thru the plastic.

That is a thought. I only need the four pin though. Are those Schrader valves next to it. Maybe for air brakes?

    None. Yet.... :-)
I find myself in the same situation, but I have a cheap Hooke Road rear bumper that is pretty substantial to drill through. I haven't found a good bolt-on option that is still available and might have to DIY it on my '12.
