the sas swap has already been done just have the rock assault housing on the springs can’t rebuild it without the 3rd member just wanted to know before i order since all the things i’ve searched up really don’t answer my question if the TG hi pinion would fit the bolt pattern i appreciate your response to this thread

What centered did you buy? 8.4 can be found on t100, first gen tundra or Tacoma without elock. 8” are found from there later 70 to pre-tacoma or lc80. Elock 8” are found on first and second gen Tacoma.

Assuming you’re from 808? If you don’t “crawl” I would waste money of a hi8. Find yourself a standard 8” third, match the gear and call it good.

that don’t mean anything. TG RA are made with 3 different centered: 8”, 8” elock, or 8.4

take a picture of your centered section

If I was to take a wild guess, I would say it’s a 8” because its the most common unless you know you got an elock. Typically, most folks with Toyota axle will built the front axle to match the rear and carry 1 spare that can be used at either location

Like you said, the center don’t fit a 1985 third which will be an 8”. That leaves you with 2 option 8” elock or 8.4”

does it have a backwards C notch ed (best way to explain it) with 2 long studs at the C section? If that’s a yes then it’s an 8” elock. If it’s perfectly round without the cutout on the right side, it wok be a 8.4 since you stated it wouldn’t fit an 8”

    Same crap everyone else got
I don't think Crawling is the only reason to get a HP front 3rd. Depending on the amount of lift a HP can save you from having to get a new high angle drive shaft.
