I’m not sure but since you mentioned a knife cut that’s exactly what it looks like, not sure if they were wrapped together for shipping and the person cut it accidentally or on purpose or what. It doesn’t look like a mold defect though. When I picked them up at the tire shop there wasn’t anything around them.

Working on my 3205 today and pulled all the tractors out for a group photo. I may like Cub Cadets a bit. :D

Replaced all the bronze pedal control shaft bushings in the frame on the 3205 as they were binding and turning in the frame rather than on the shafts--they have hex shaped holes in the frame and they were wearing the on hex holes.

Then pulled the brush hog in to lower the hitch down since when I fixed it last week it was ~5" higher than before. Got it to where the blades are 4.5" in front/5" in the rear. Angled front down as I don't like 3" hunks of wood and rocks whizzing past my head(true story)

Had a great summer job once at a tire factory that made nothin’ but aircraft & implement tires. Earlier that year they got there factory ceiling painted & wherever it wasn’t cleaned properly, the paint came down & somehow into the tires. Was told this made ‘em separate is really strange ways. There were acres & acres of brand new, no good tires all fenced off & guarded until they figured out what to do with ‘em. My job was drivin’ around on a scissor lift with a spray paint can markin’ the bad spots that weren’t cleaned.

I was feeling froggy this morning. I think taking it off was worse than putting it on.

It's always harder getting them off. Those are some strange punctures. I'm almost wondering about a disgruntled employee or dumb kid with a knife.

A knife had to have been what it was, picked the new one up yesterday afternoon and the guy at the tire shop just shook his head. Hopefully whoever supplied it to him will take care of it, they weren’t at his shop 10 minutes when they got delivered before I picked them up the first time and they sat out by the door when he got them so I wouldn’t think it happened at his shop.

<20 minutes we are remounted and ready to roll. I inspected this tire before mounting it, hopefully all is good now.

Anybody here have a Stihl BR200 backpack blower? I have a BR600 and it’s awesome, it’s just too much weight for my bad neck and back. I’m looking at the BR200 because of weight, I’m just wondering if it does okay for leaves around the house. I don’t use mine much, just the next couple months for leaves and to blow the patio off after mowing so I’m thinking the BR200 will be fine for my needs.

Man, nobody won in that whole situation. Sorry you had to deal with it and that the tire shop had to deal with it. Bummer all around.

I bought a Stihl BR200 blower, it's alright for what it is and weighing 12 lbs is awesome. I sold my BR600 to a friend of mine who mows yards yesterday and we got to talking about weedeaters.

He said he liked his Echo's, I said I bought a Shindaiwa (made by Echo) this summer and like everything but the string replacement, the head is hard to get back together with the string wrapped without it coming apart.

He said "you haven't read the manual have you?" I said no, he said I couldn't stand mine the 1st two times I re-wrapped it then read the manual. It's actually simple and you will like it once you figure it out. He said does it have a hole through it? I said yes. I went and got my manual.

Bwahahaha!!! Don’t worry Creed, you just made me do the same thing!
I’ve been running a Sthil FS100 RX straight shaft trimmer for years, the wife offered to get me a Milwaukee M18 pole saw/trimmer interchangeable kit for Father’s Day, I used the trimmer until it was out of string, opened it up, got frustrated (yes, it has a hole like yours)
Then tossed it on the rack and grabbed the Sthil.
Looks like I’ll be taking that off the shelf and having a humbling moment with it this weekend!
    Thanks!

I can't wait until mine runs out of string again so I can try it. Winter is approaching fast and I hope to not be using it much though :D

Down here in Florida we still have quite a bit of the season left. Feel free to come down and try it out!

That weed eater looks way simpler than my stihl. I've had it for eons, so I'm familiar with it now. I have the kind that you have to take apart and each side has its own piece of string that is wrapped separately. It holds a lot of string, so you don't have to load it that often unless you're really hard on the strings.

I changed the cutting head out on my stihl and use the Stihl Durocut lines. So easy now for my wife to use.

How do they hold up? Our yard is fenced in with woven wire and it chews up my string fast if I'm not careful. A customer gave me a piece of kevlar string to try, it was awful and didn't last long at all.

Yes you have to be careful with them around the fences. They will break but normal weed eating around the house an trees they work well. Big factor for me was wife can change them out. Lot of people don't read the instructions on the box you put water in the tube to store them. My fence lines I just spray weed killer anymore.

I installed 12 gauge no climb hose fence around my lot this spring, and am finding it difficult to trim against it because, unlike welded wire fence, the top and bottom vertical strands are looped around the top and bottom horizontal strands. This makes the bottom vertical strands slide when hit with the trimmer string. Not really a huge deal, but it annoys me. I have always been against using brush killer for things, but my mom just gave me a gallon of Barrier yearly fence line brush killer.
I think it’s time to give it a try.
