I have no issue with them. I've only seen 1 in the last 5 years.

I've never installed one, but it would be an easy job. I know what you mean about the manufacturer not giving a shit about ease of maintenance. Some of those filters are impossible to remove without making a mess.

I honestly have a love/hate relationship with the oil coolers. The engine builders always use the shittiest hose clamps, then the hose leaks and makes a hot mess.

If a person keeps up on oil changes, the cooler really isn't going to gain you much.

Yeah the universal ones might be the easiest route to take. I actually have one and some -6AN line from my old Supra. I should check to see if it'll fit and if I still have the different threaded adapters to make it work.

The original Kawasaki 23hp filter was easier to reach than the Briggs I replaced it with. Avoiding the mess will be a secondary benefit, I can't hardly reach the damn thing as it sits. It's one of those things I overlooked when I did the motor swap.

I'm a big fan of T-bolt clamps. I'm a bigger fan of -AN lines for things like this, and may explore that further. I don't need some big honkin PH8A sized filter on this thing, I just need it accessible.

Yep, as long as the filter has the same pipe thread and same size "o" ring gasket, you got lots and lots of filter choices. Often bigger is cheaper and it allows you to put in more oil when you change. More oil is always a benefit.

Right on. Time to do some poking around, I'll be due for a change probably by the end of August.

I got to use our mini excavator today too! Stump removal and clearing a bit of overgrown land to reclaim as lawn hopefully.

I'm going with a MechMaxx or PowerKing.
But I'll not be ordering it until the last week of September.
Where I'm dropping the trees is in the main yard. And I don't have time to get them up in a week.
I want to keep the yard mowed. So......until then, I'm keying an eye on the prices and "hoping" one of them goes on sale.

Wow! You guys all have bigger/heavier machines! Those are in that near 10K lb range.
Are you using dump trucks to move them? Or Dually's?

had a VIo 25 Yanmar 6,000lb, now have the 302.7D cr CAT (close to 6k lbs)....
These are still 3/4 ton friendly.

You guys got way heavier toys!

One I use is my neighbor's, if its next door and I ask he brings it over. His son moves it with a F350 dually.
Hahaha after we got done I looked over and he was walking it up the road about a mile.

Not me. I don't have anything resembling those machines. Just the tractor I bought in March, and my two Zero turns. And I guess the Mule that's been giving me trouble lately. :angrygirl:
And I'm not the "most Guys" they talk about on those Particle commercials either...
