Tracking vehicle delivery

Finally got my Tacoma built on Nov 14. Can I track the delivery with my VIN? Dealer says Nov 30 to Dec 17. I put money down in Jan ! Can't wait

 

Mine finish build 10/31 and is heading to the port of NY. I know it is currently at Veracruz MX at the Port waiting to load. I have been tracking ships through marinetracking.com and one is entering the port now. We'll see if when it is done loading if it's destination is NY. So there are ways you can somewhat track where it is is transit.

Dealer can look for updates on the site to see what it is. I currently do not have a date for hitting the ground at the dealer. I expect now 2nd week of December which will be 6 weeks transit time.

 

Updates usually happen on Fridays.. my salesman always called me Friday afternoon with the latest update while my Trailhunter Was in transit

 

Were you waiting for something particularly strange? I put a deposit on an allocation the same day my dealer got it in, in late July. My truck got built in September and was delivered the first week of October. Mine was a fairly weird config — Solar Octane TRD Sport AT 4x4 with no upgrade packages, but with heated seats — and it didn’t take that long. They initially told me mid-Oct to early-Nov and moved it up a couple weeks.

 

I asked for a hybrid Limited model, either Blue or Wind Chill Pearl. Nothing else special. I was told Toyota wasn't making many Limited models cause everyone was wanting off road models. I don't think my dealership was making any effort to fill my order until about 6 wks ago when I went in for the second time and expressed my frustration to the sales manager. He agreed it was taking too long and within a week they had a build date. This was after I started finding them across the country and telling them where they were! I'm 71 and my off roading days are over. Very frustrating experience but finally it's happening

 

^^ This ^^ …got mine in early October. The salesman alerted me as to exact location of my truck for a couple weeks in advance. Just call and ask.
