I'm running 285/75 16 mud crawl the spare is a OEM 265. I took it to the tire shop and they rest them and my light stayed off till i got home and shut the truck off. Next day it was back on. tire shop said it was due to weather change and would shut off when it got warm (I put on my hip waders cus i felt it was getting deep). its been 90's this week and still the light is on.

Is the light blinking or solid on? If blinking you have a defective sensor(s). If it is on solid you have a low pressure condition, check the tire pressure and reset the TPMS with the reset switch. Procedure is in the manual.

Its solid . i well check the manual. do you know if because the spare (265 has a lower pressure 50 psi then the 285's 65 psi is doing this?)

I think that would only be the case if you were running max pressures and your TPMS was reprogrammed to go off at a different psi - you aren't actually running 65 psi right??

65 PSI? don't need that in a light truck and I don't even run that high in my F350 with 35s on it and it weighs over 9k lbs

go do a chalk test to make sure tread is resting even

I'm betting on the difference in main vs spare. I was surprised to learn the spate was included, although the reminder is good, maintaining proper spare pressure is important too.

Also someone correct me if im wrong, the tpms switch also has to be reset to recognize the new air pressure. This is different from the relearn of the codes. I believe it makes a new median air pressure, then the light will signal % above or below that pressure.

285's at 38 psi i assume the spare is the same as the tire shop got the TMPS light to go off for a short time

There should be a button near your right knee to reset the TPMS and have it relearn whatever pressure you set it at. Try holding that down for a bit.

Oh jeez I thought you were running the 285's at 65 PSI lol. Check them all, including spare. I think the light turns on if there's a 5 PSI difference between any of them (at least that's how the old systems worked). So if one is at 41 and another at 36, it will turn on.

I run 30 psi in my mastercraft courser mxt load E 285/70R17. Had the same issue and the tire shop used a hand scanner and adjusted the tire pressure and it went away.

Make sure they're all the same pressure, including the spare.

Sensors have approx a 7-10 year life span. If one dies you should get a blinking light though.

Just disable the thing. Best mod I've done. Never have to worry about it again.
