Ok so I just got some aftermarket wheels for my '15 tacoma and I am looking for some TPMS sensors but how do I know if they will fit my rims. I know they need to be the 315 mHz. But how will I know if its long enough or if it fits in the hole?

Edit: I have Falcon Offroad T7 wheels

They have them for alloy rims. And they have them for Steel rims Really only difference there. Get the preprogrammed ones much easier to calibrate.

I put those exact sensors in my 17" rims from a 2012, on my 2006 when I put on new tires last week. the tire shop that put them in tried telling me they were bad and couldn't get them to activate. The next tire shop got them to activate but couldn't get them to write to the truck, kept getting an error message. they wouldn't take a dime though, since they didn't get it all the way done, and wrote down the id's/positions for me, great local shop! Toyota dealer want's 175 bucks to put the id's on the truck. I bought an Autel maxi ts601 from Amazon that arrives today. I noticed others had the same issue on the forum, but I couldn't find a detailed solution other than paying someone to do it. I'll check in this evening to let you know if it played nice with the sensors and truck or not.

When I put mine in. They were preprogrammed
And I still had to go to a garage for the programming

So I’ve got the same denso 550103 sensors in all 5 tires, and the Autel maxi TS601 that came from Amazon made short work of what two different tire shops couldn’t accomplish. I’ve never done that process before and I’ll say the tool was at least 90% intuitive, with a question mark button to guide you through the proccess. Fabulous tool!!!! And it’s on sale for 299, just 125 more than what the stealership wanted to do the proccess once! And it does a ton of other stuff to, live data etc.

My question to you guys is, do they make another bracket for the spare tire holder that will fit the 17” alloys correctly? Edit: Actually never mind, I found the answer, flip the wheel over and a 17x7 sport rim with a 265/70 fits just perfect! Couldn’t go any bigger though.

I am going to try to put a 265 75r16 on that spare tire rim and run 265 70r17 on the truck. Tire calculators say they are the same size tire and anyways its a spare your not gonna be going to far on it. Hopefully that fits because I never tried changing the spare tire to something bigger

If the diameter is the same I’m sure it will, the width wasn’t an issue really.

265/70/17 fits fine in the stock spare location with no modifications required.
