Hmmm I might have to leave my spare and drive around since it’s still synced with my system.

All my searches today return posts of people saying TPMS cannot be disabled and will display a light on the dash if you remove all the sensors. I'm confused why my experience is different.

Maybe the light (or LED more likely) burned-out J/K

The TPMS on my Taco is working fine but I’m going through TPMS hell on a Corolla I’m fixing-up for my GF’s kid. Looks like I’ll be buying an Autel TS508

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
    From what I've read.....

On the 2020 Tacos, the TPMS will only STORE four TPM identities. That is why the button is required when doing a tire rotation. the existing identities are reallocated to the correct corners. If a second tire/wheel set is fitted, the replacement identities must be swapped into the system look up file. When a different set of TPM are fitted with the new wheels, there is no memory space allocated for any additional identities, so the old values are deleted, and the new values are stored. There is no provision to hold an identity for the spare wheel/tire (That would be a fifth identity, and there are only four allowed). So if the spare is fitted, an error will trigger the dash display warning. Considering the original fitted tire is now "flat" or out of sensor range. Both will trigger an error.

This may not apply to other model years, IDK
Other car makers offer provision to store additional TPM identities as well as some levels of "Autodetection"
The Taco limitations seem crude and antiquated.
It would be nice if the entire TPMS could be "coded out" as it can be with Audi vehicles.
    Thankyou safety NERDS!

Seriously - being able to store info for an additional set of wheels / tires or having an on-board system to manage new sensors yourself sans code reader

I just got the TS501 today and resync'd my winter rims for my Taco in a couple minutes with no issues. Didn't have to update/register and worked perfect straight out of the box.

Gents.....what ATEQ are you using? ATEQ Quickset on Amazon? I read the Autel will only do Autel sensors......work on a Gen2?

I use the Quickset X with two sets of OEM sensors and have zero issues.
