I run my tires at 65psi but it seems the max reading of the TPMS sensors is 55.
Anyone know if this is a limit of the sensors or if a recalibration can alter the range?

I am not running stock tires...I switched to E load range Cooper/Mastercraft Coursers of a different size.

    Edit:
I found this helpful to understand how to derive the correct tire pressure when changing to non-OEM tire types and sizes.

Jeez. Here I am thinking 35 was a lot.

That's all I have to add.

When I had my wheels and tires installed, they put over 60psi. Felt like I was riding on wagon wheels on my way home. Lol

If that is the limit, it's probably cause no one would run tires that high? Seems like waaaay too much.

The PowerWagon runs 65 psi from the factory I believe, on 33's (Duratracs), and that truck is almost 3000 lbs heavier.

why are you running 65psi on a Tacoma? You'll meet the max load requirements at like 40psi already with e load tires.

Duratracs are meant to be able to run that high. Stock Tacoma tires are not

You realize the psi on the sidewall of tires is the max psi not the recommended? On a Tacoma you should be running around 35. I run 32 with my E range tires.

Not sure what you're getting at.

My point was - why would you run your tires at 65 psi when that's the tire pressure a much heavier truck uses. It's unnecessary to run tires on a Tacoma at 65 psi even if they are able to hold that pressure.

I'm just saying that a tire like a duratrac is meant to be ran at those pressures under some circumstances. However the OEM tires on the Tacoma aren't. Doesn't really matter what vehicle they are on. You could run duratrac's that high on a Tacoma. However it would be stiff as hell. The OEM tires would more than likely blow out at that pressure
