    Is plasti-dip a mod?
I swapped my Moto metals from my 2011 Tacoma over to my 2017. I knew I would have to get them re-programmed so I used a tool to read the MAC address of the 2011 sensors and took it to the dealership to have them programmed into my 2017.

They said it would cost 50 bucks and take no time. An hour and a half later they came back to the lobby and told me they wouldn't work and that I would have to break down the tires and put the ones from the 2017 in those rims. Something about the computer not reading that frequency or something of that matter. That just doesn't sound right to me.

Has anyone had any experience with swapping them over and having them re-programmed? Why would it not work? I'm thinking the mechanic on duty didn't know how to program them.

3rd Gen TPMS went Digital or something like that I believe and won't work on 2nd Gens and vice versa.

There has to be a mod coming for this like there was on the second GEN Tacoma's. I also had a tpms disable on my 05 4runner and it was great.
