I'm really sad to say but last weekend I lost one of my best friends..

Saturday Night my girlfriend and I were on our way back from dinner and had just gotten coffee, ready for a much needed movie night. Only a few exits from home a drunk driver rear ended me going approximately 40-50mph faster than me, sending me into the guard rail and rolling down the highway. It was one hell of a crash to be honest with you.

Yes, we are okay somehow. We are still very sore right now but in the general aspect of things we are doing well - just glad to be alive!

My Taco sustained a ton of damage obviously but did its job keeping us safe and unharmed. I honestly am heart broken. I had this truck for quite some time doing a lot of work to it to make it a stronger, sexy and safer truck. I used this forum a lot to make sure I got the best parts available for it and even purchased accessories from users here on Tacoma World! (Bed lights, LED lights, TRD stickers etc).

Waiting on my insurance to get back to me, which is not going well right now.. but soon enough I will have another Tacoma! I can't wait to build another and I will keep you all updated!

    Thanks!
    Nick

Damn, that's a lot of damage! Glad you two are ok!

On a side note: I have that same wheel/tire combo, and I see that seems to be the only thing salvageable from your truck.

Liberty Mutual - 9 days since my accident and I haven't heard from them. Called today, earliest they can get here is the 30th. Ridiculous if you ask me.

I think there is only 1 wheel that is not bent. She hit all 4 corners.. not a piece on it worthy.

Half the estimators in the country are probably in tornado alley dealing with hail damage and tornadoes

Yeah it is. But expect at least 30 days. Sorry to say. When my truck was stolen that was the time frame. This has also been the result of posts just like yours with wrecked trucks. Hang in there, it's going to be a rough road for a while. Hope it works out for you. While they are dragging their feet, you should gather all your receipts and even emails or what not from about aquitaine parts. It will keep you busy and may prove useful in the end. Best wishes to you and the little lady.

I actually just finished printing all my receipts of my personal belongings that were inside that are ruined or lost. (Camera lens, wheels, suspension etc) Really hope they pay for my suspension.. I put a lot into this truck.

I find it ridiculous because only 3 days after the accident, the guy who had debris hit his vehicle going in the other direction, his insurance called me asking for a statement already. So he probably has his car at a body shop. I don't know what it so hard to just come look at it, tell me it's totalled (obviously) and get it done. Frustrating!

    Thank you though ☺️

Glad you're both ok, that's an incredible amount of damage. Reassuring to know the safety features can work.

Wow man, glad that you two are ok for the most part. Props to the Taco -- it did its job.....to me, there isn't much of a better reason than that to get another one.
