For fun, I’ll post what 3rd gen owners are thinking:

It was only a matter of time before Toyota had to man up and issue a recall for the new Tacoma Engine issues as well; whoever thought they could just subtract 2 cylinders on each Toyota truck model while making more power is a dingus. Toyota must be silencing all of the 4G Taco owners with engine issues, because Tundra this and turbo that.

    Oh wait… stickers? Nevermind.

Not the first time. They had to do this with 2nd gens and FJ Cruisers.

Those of us who own or owned Sienna SE (the lowered sport model with bigger wheels) had the yellow stickers and in that case the 200 pounds could be noticeable. I don't know what Gulf States is bundling or doing but the otherwise superior SE Sienna did lose carry capacity with lowered an inch and low profile tires.

"Adding value" and "enhancing the consumer experience" of course. It's what all middlemen do. As you are probably aware, the trucks are totally unusable without another $1600 in random accessories added without any input from the buyer.

When I read the headline of the Car and Driver story “Inaccurate Stickers” I was hoping that meant the MSRP sticker prices were too high.

yea like my dealer did with the over priced $750 ceramic coating they claim to have done and the water doesn't bead any better than my 06 with just a good coat of wax. oh and the PPF protection that charges $1000 for. you can't buy a truck from them with out that already on it. as soon as it comes off the truck it gets it added. biggest rip off there is.

I have one of those decals inside my door. It says the load carrying capacity has been reduced by 3 lbs. No kidding
