Just got back from a week getaway in Mexico.
I was surprised to see Tacomas and Hiluxes coexist in Mexico.
Anyways, it's just my personal impression but most of the Hiluxes in Mexico were haggard AF.
I just mention this because after reading all the good stuff about Hiluxes on TW, and witnessing POS Mexican Hiluxes, my fantasy about Hilux is shattered lol..

    Most Tacomas looked relatively pristine..
The 3rd gen Tacos almost looked like luxury vehicles given that most cars on the road there were POS.

There're not too common, but I've see some really nice built out Hiluxes come up from down south. But even the most pristine vehicles will look haggard from the muddy pothole riddled roads down there.

I visited the Toyota dealer in Cabo a few months back and inquired about a new Hilux... crew cab, 4X4, long bed, diesel, white... the equivalent of apx. $32k US.
