I contacted my local dealer regarding the Toyota dealer installed Toyota lift. It is a 2” front 1” rear and appears to use the Bilstein 5100. What are the opinions on going this route?

It's for those that like knowing its oem and set up perfectly. It's going to cost way more than most setups and limits customizations.

I imagine its so dealers can install lifts on stock units and retain warranty and functions.

I'd personally rather get a 5100 front and rear with a 1" block. Save the cash for tires.

Bilsteins 5100s on the top setting, 4runner Gray TRD Pro Sema wheels, 285/70/17 Toyo AT3s, Sumo Bump stops, TRD exhaust, ECGS Clamshell bushing, 1/4 shim for the lean and one inch rear block, OEM Pro grill and garnish OEM TRD Skid plate, TRD CAI, Demon Brackets, Rigid Industries Pro fog lights, OEM Trail Rails sidebars, Diode Dynamics LED SL1 high and low beam lights, OEM Roof racks, Clazzio leather heated seats, Remote Start, TRD Pro shift knob, tinted windows, Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp for the headunit and sub and amp combo, OEM Puddle lights, OEM tailgate lock, OEM bed mat, LED interior lights, OEM blackout kit for letters, JLT catch can, upgraded 27F toyota True Start battery, Vleds led tail light kit with Pro tail lights, OEM Rave4 side mirrors with convex spotters, just to name a few mods.
Get some 5100s, a 1 inch rear block, 1/4 shim, add a Pro grill, update your fog lights, forget the delete fog light crap in the OEM kit and the huge markup and you will be money ahead. Its just rebranded Bilsteins and it wont void the warranty, its just new struts and shocks. Plus in a few years the warranty is over anyway. I did the 5100s with 6k miles and my dealership is cool with it, no issues and they even send trucks to our local 4wd center to do installs.

I decided to let Toyota do mine as well so there were no warranty issues. 3/2 lift/leveling kit and quite honestly, they did an outstanding job. Tech called me half way through to talk about things, and tell me what he was doing. When I picked up the truck, he walked me through exactly what he did. Seemed like he treated my truck, like it was his own, which I appreciated. I definitely paid a lot more going this route though.

Welcome to the forum! I looked into a dealer lift once years ago and as others said they wanted 3 times the money for a block lift. Shop around you'll get it cheaper!

    Maybe a 2/1 lift.
