This. You would be surprised how far an intelligent, and well written email can get you. Attitude usually, and most always can help or hurt you.

CEOs get hundreds if not thousands of messages and emails a day, especially a CEO for one of the largest car manufacturers in the world.

TW users sending hundreds more his way with most likely the same messages would more than likely just irk him, depending on his temperament and patience.

But hey if Corporate won't speak to you then by all means go ahead.

They have whats called an OOP. Office of the President. All consumer incoming emails used to get routed to our office, and Legal would vet it. Often times we would send the consumer to go through the proper channels in order to work out their issues.

    Stop injecting logic here!

It's more amusing to imagine thousands of angry TWers sending the CEO terribly spelled and grammar riddled emails complaining about "Muh shifiting, muh MPG, muh vibrating!!!!"

I can assure you that the VP of sales called me and has been emailing me weekly. I got a response the next day from my email. If you are polite and well spoken in your email, It will have a positive result.

I'll even add that most CEOs of companies this size probably don't even read their own email. They have administrative assistants who have access to their email accounts and can read & send on their behalf. They are surely screening and routing them to the applicable person/department. Not saying they never read any, but most aren't unless they are screened/flagged as needing review.

I work for a Fortune 500 company and VP's and above have Admin Assistants who do this.

For those of you that might not be super familiar with corporate america, over the past decade or so people have started throwing around the VP title like crack cocaine in a Chapelle skit. It's title inflation all over the place. People want to feel important. What makes you feel important? Talking to a VICE PRESIDENT!!! So customers like it and employee's egos like it.

They've watered down titles so much its hard to tell who is actually important these days based on title alone.

There's also been a mass exodus of employees, and a re-org of who's left because of the move so who knows.
She's nowhere to be found on any of the corporate executive bios, and it's higly unlikely that a VP of sales would be taking care of your truck, since it has nothing to do with sales after all.
