Hey My 1st Gen Toyota Tacoma Brothers and Sisters

My buddy Sean and I have a important videos series for any diehard 1st Gen Toyota Tacoma owner that plans on keeping their rig forever. We filmed a 3.4 liter motor swap over a 4 day period. It was a ton of work to document and edit but we knew this was an important one to publish.

The engine we used for the video was built by Yota1 Performance in Riverbank, California. They build nice engines and they are an awesome company to deal with. If you're in the market for a rebuilt engine, Yota1 Performance is offering a 5% discount on their engines builds. Use Discount Code:
timmythetoolman - all lower case with no spaces just like you see it.

The series will be 4 parts:

    Part 1 - Engine Removal
Part 2 - Old Engine Strip Down
    Part 3 - New Engine Build-up
Part 4 - New Engine Installation

Here's Part 1 and we hope you enjoy it.

Blasphemy Timmah!, where do I go to report this thread? We ALL KNOW that long after the heat death of the universe and the simulation is over, it will be found that original 5vzfe's were still running.

I'm at 380K in my 04. Might be time to start thinking about a refresh. Truck stills runs very strong and no oil burning or leaks!

I agree! I had my engine swapped out and and installed by my local mechanic about 2 years ago. I wish that I had some mechanic friends who could have helped me out with the engine swap and wish this video was out back then, but am glad that my truck is running in good condition.

Turning wrenches for a paycheck the last thing I would want to look at is one on my time off.

I think I have you beat Not quite sure How many years the old engine is out and the refreshed one is on the stand.

I hope if the stand failed and it fell to the ground I might not take notice for some time.

It would be nice to see a video made in the Northeast with the rounded and rusted fastners adding days to the job.

No thread. Just search our channel to see all the suspension work we've documented. We did have a lift video for a Tacoma but lost the footage when my buddy Sean dropped his external hard drive. That sucked.
