Looking at highway oriented 245/75r16 tires. Sam's Club has
    Toyo Open Country H/T II - 245/75R16 111T Tire

Does anyone have any experience with this tire? Seems to be almost polar opposite reviews on Toyo tires in general. Everything from the best alternative to the much more expensive Michelin to they flung apart on me. The specs on this tire look to be quite good. They are 740 A B rated tires and they weigh only 33 pounds. One or two reviewers mentioned a drop in fuel mileage but these were with other trucks with different size tires. Most of the reviews are from guys with 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks with heavy duty E weight tires. So not a good read up on Tacoma size of trucks.

If you are looking to replace the tires on your truck, I would suggest you go up a size, to 265/75R16. Your speedometer will be more accurate. I run that size, but in load range E. Load range C will be my next tire.

Yeah I often use Waze to see how fast I'm going.

I am very happy with my Toyo tires. I am currently running AT III's and had A30's on the truck from factory. Both are excellent tires. I don't think you can go wrong with your choice.

Also if fuel economy is a concern your tire size is fine and definitely don't go with E-rated. You have a Tacoma not and F350!

I personally did not like the factory Toyo tires, I found them lacking in overall traction, so I swapped them out almost immediately for Coopers. Now on a second set of tires, and I went with the Falken Wild Peak AT3. I sold the Toyo's to another Taco owner who just needed a set of tires and didn't care one way or another except for price.
