So I've been wanting to upgrade to 285s for a while now but I keep looking at my Toyos waiting for them to wear out. Today I measured the tread depth at 9/32 after 45,000 miles. They come new at 13/32 so I've only used 4/32 in 45000 miles! I wish these tires weren't this good right now.

Don't tell me that, I told the wife I wouldn't replace mine until they wear out. Dam it, need to start spinning the tires more.

Yeah, tell me about it. I even stopped rotating them like 2 years ago and they will not wear out.

I’ve got the same problem. Waiting to do everything else when I buy tires.

Just keep them over inflated and take freeway ramps as fast as possible, that'll do the trick.

I went through two sets of Toyo AT2's on my old Tundra. I got about 60,000 miles on each set. I'm pretty sure they're are going on my new Taco when the stock Wranglers wear out.

Toyos run forever but dry rot really bad. I had my first set replaced under warranty after 15k. Then the replacements did the same thing. Good tires if you don't mind big cracks between the treads. Here's mine after 30k 285s

I wonder if they crack because they use a harder rubber compound, which would lead to them wearing slower.
