Run Toyo Open Country A30s on my 2010 DCSM……they came new with truck when I bought it a year ago
Early on , upgraded ..with 3rd gen Sport rims….

have upgraded to Bilstein 5100s shocks and struts and leveled truck.

drive lots of highway miles, it’s 4x2, so no interest in going with bigger tires……

last couple of months started noticing road noise…….45mph to 60mph is worst….
And started reading reviews of this complaint and high wear…….

anybody else have this problem, and what tire do you recommend for replacement……can’t be too aggressive pattern, lots of highway driving…..quiet is good.

I’ve found it’s hard to beat Michelin LTX series for an all season highway tire.
We have run them on our Pilot and Ram trucks.
I don’t run them on my truck, because I don’t want to spend that amount of money on a set of tire.
And I’m frequently in the woods and off-highway with mine.

BTW, you might get more help over here.

    Thanks,
Boy that’s a lot of threads and postings, but about 99% of going bigger……..
Not going bigger until I retire in a couple of years……in the mean time, need good truck tire, that won’t kill my MOG too bad, quiet on freeway driving……
    How about Falkens

I wore out the set of (pretty much new) Toyo Open Country tires that were on my 3rd Gen Sport rims when I purchased them. They did seem to get louder near their end of life, but mostly sucked in the wet and snow.
I replaced them with a Set of Michelin Defender LTX M/S in same size last year and have not looked back. Excellent tire.

The Defenders were hard to source during the early days of the Pandemic, not sure how the availability is now.

You don't say how many miles are on your tires... or how often they are rotated... or what the current tread depth is...

All tires tend to get louder as they wear out. If you want a quiet, long-wearing tire for highway driving, look into Michelins. Pick a tread pattern you like (if that matters to you), and read some reviews. They may cost a bit more upfront (or maybe not, actually) but spread that cost over their longer-than-average tread life, and they are often less expensive. Also, since they last longer, you'll spend less (over time) for mounting & balancing.

    22,500…….rotated, and balanced every 5/7000 , tread depth is 6/7 mm…….
Noise started a few weeks ago.

normally purchase Michelin, but have had Bridgestone……NEVER have had a tire get loud, NEVER, no matter age/mileage.

Assuming that is 6 to 7mm, that's very good tread depth. Since your tires just started getting louder recently and you have never noticed tires getting noisier as they age, then I have no idea at all. In more than 50 years of driving, I have experienced various tire brands getting louder as they wear out. Oh well, I tried. If you don't get a satisfactory answer here, try a reputable tire shop. Oh one final thought -- any chance it's not tire noise? Maybe something like a wheel bearing or a CV joint going out?

    Thanks for your post
I jacked up truck, spin test, 12/6 wiggle test and had Toyota and independent shop check out bearings……all good….
    Reputable tire shop next….

Reverse the rotation of the tire first, do a diagonal tire swap, it burns off the edge wear.
