2022 Tacoma SR5 Double Cab 6 foot bed
    Hi everyone,

I ordered a new 2022 Tacoma SR5 double cab 6 foot bed around Thanksgiving and it should be built this coming Monday.

I'm trying to determine its towing capacity with a trailer that has brakes. I've been reading through the manual and am trying to understand the terms. I don't have the engine code, or the plaque that tells the information of it's capacities yet.

Any help on GVWR, GCWR, GAWR limits or do I need to wait until I get the truck?

edit: C&P from my post below:
I believe it's a GRN310L, but not sure which one. Engine code 2GR-FKS (Found this by looking it up via my VIN the dealer provided).
Payload is possibly 950LBS. It also does having a towing package.

Gotta wait to get the truck.

You could do the math yourself though to get a ballpark.

In the GCWR / TWR data below, the greatest numbers are with the included tow package as noted.

    Here's the payload:

Your biggest limitation will be payload and you need your truck to know the exact amount. But I'd suspect under 1000 pounds being a long bed. But options will make that vary.

My Canadian 2021 SR5 double cab long bed has a 950pound payload capacity.

Anything over 4000 pounds is pushing it IMO. I just got sumo spring for a little 2k pound dry popup trailer tent.
